The “FSR Post-doc 2022” call for the reception of post-docs within the research units of UCLouvain is open!
The 2022 call is funded through the Special Research Fund (FSR), with a budget of 1,400,000 €. This will allow the award of 14 two-year post-doctoral fellowships.
Applications must be submitted electronically via the UCLouvain promoter to the Research Administration by Friday October 1, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the latest.
Why ?
The purpose of this funding is to promote the transnational mobility of highly qualified researchers through the granting of postdoctoral fellowships. All scientific fields are eligible.
For who ?
Grants for hosting postdoctoral fellows are intended for:
- experienced researchers in possession of their doctoral degree;
- researchers with a maximum of five years of postdoctoral experience;
- researchers in a situation of international mobility, having not resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Belgium for more than 24 months during the three years preceding the start date of the project.
All nationalities are eligible.
Candidates must also apply at the same time as the FRS-FNRS Mandates call.
What?
The funding includes a tax-free postdoctoral fellowship for a period of 12 to 24 months which takes into account the experience of the researcher, the costs of civil liability insurance, the contribution to social security, a budget operating costs and a travel allowance.

Electronic submission to the address crec-adre@uclouvain.be ; the call is annual and is carried out per academic year.
The selection of projects is carried out in four stages:
- Eligibility of applications;
- Preselection of files by CREC members
- Sending of classified A files (maximum three times the number of available files) to external experts
- Hearing of all A-rated candidates
Applications are evaluated on the following criteria:
- quality of the candidate,
- quality of the research project,
- mutual impact of collaboration.
