YOUR TASKS

  1. Develop a strong position of Ghent University as Core Member in EIT Urban Mobility, by:
  • encouraging the setting-up of a Ghent University network around Urban Mobility beyond the Network for Sustainable Mobility Research;
  • enhancing interaction and collaboration with the other EIT Urban Mobility Partners;
  • encouraging and supporting participation in other industrial research programmes
  1. Support the preparation of the EIT Urban Mobility project proposals and education activities, i.a.:
  • partnering with other members of the KIC;
  • identifying project opportunities;
  • supporting the proposal writing process.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • You hold a Master or PhD in Science, in Engineering, in Business Economics/Engineering or in Law.
  • You have a scientific or industrial knowledge and/or expertise in at least one of the following subject areas and are able to broadly identify valorisation opportunities:
  • Link Mobility and Planning; Sustainable Urban Mobility Planning
  • New Mobility Services (MaaS, TMaaS, micromobility);
  • Smart and Sustainable Mobilities
  • Promoting Active Mobilities (walking, cycling and/or public transport);
  • C-ITS, mobility technology, open data and/or transport & mobility data processing & decision support;
  • Urban governance citizen science and citizen participation for mobility;
  • Transport and logistics.
  • You have a profound interest in setting up project proposals promoting technological innovation. Experience in the definition, negotiation, implementation and/or management of large scale multi-partner projects is an advantage.
  • You have an affinity with both the academic and business sectors and have a strong network from previous collaborations.
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset, a strong personality and work in a result- and service-oriented manner.
  • You have solid English communication and negotiation skills.
  • You are willing to travel frequently in Europe.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

  • This position involves a contractual appointment of indefinite length, with guaranteed funding for 3 years. A full time as well as part time position is possible.
