At the University of Agder, Faculty of Health and Sport Sciences, a year-long position is available as a 100% postdoctoral position in nutrition and public health, affiliated with the Department of Nutrition and Public Health, for a period of 3 years. The workplace is currently Campus Kristiansand. Accession by agreement with the faculty.
The faculty has four institutes; Department of Health and Nursing Science, Department of Nutrition and Public Health, Department of Sport Science and Physical Education and Department of Psychosocial Health. The postdoctoral position will be affiliated with the top research center Lifecourse Nutrition at the Department of Nutrition and Public Health.
Responsibilities
The person hired should be co-responsible for the research project Reducing the gap: From public health evidence to public health practice together with another postdoctoral fellow. The project will develop and implement an e-learning platform in collaboration with kindergartens and health centers in a medium-sized municipality in Agder. The postdoctor that is being sought will be given responsibility for the part of the project that is aimed at the health station business. The e-learning platform should include previously evaluated and effective interventions with research-based information and guidance on nutrition in the early phases of life, from pregnancy to two years of age. The purpose of the project is to improve the diet of pregnant women, the child in the mother’s life and the youngest children in the municipality. In the project, we will evaluate how the e-learning platform is implemented and used in the upbringing sector (nurses and nursing staff) and among the end users (pregnant, parents). We will also carry out an effect evaluation of dietary changes following the measure. The postdoctor will work on the first phase of this project, where the e-learning platform will be developed and established in consultation with users. The postdoctor will continue to work on the implementation of the e-learning platform in the municipality. Qualitative and quantitative research methods will be used. Necessary qualifications
- doctorate in the relevant field of study, preferably nutrition, public health, health care or implementation research. Applicants must have received the thesis within the deadline for applications.
- good ability to communicate orally and in writing
The criteria for employment in a postdoctoral position are set out in the Regulations on conditions of employment for positions as postdoctoral fellow, fellow, scientific assistant and special candidate. It is desirable that the person hired has a dissertation over the last five years.
The working language at the University of Agder is Norwegian. Anyone hired must be fluent in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language, in writing and orally. Good knowledge of English, written and oral is required.

The position is paid in accordance with the Norwegian State’s payroll plan, salary plan 17.510, code 1352 postdoctoral, NOK. 552 800 – 573 100 per year. For especially well-qualified applicants, higher salaries can be considered. From the salary, statutory contributions go to the Government Pension Fund.
