Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons for a full-time tenure-stream position at the rank of Assistant Professor


Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Dentistry is seeking applications from Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons for a full-time tenure-stream position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Sciences.

Responsibilities will include graduate and undergraduate teaching, collaborative research, continuing education, Faculty committees, and administrative duties. Teaching and research collaboration with other Divisions, Departments, Faculties, and Universities is encouraged.

The successful candidate will have DDS and MD degrees, be eligible for dental licensure in Nova Scotia, and have successfully completed the National Dental Specialty Exam in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery administered by the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. Preference will be given to candidates with fellowship training and experience in the management of patients with facial trauma. The successful applicant will also have demonstrated experience in research, didactic and clinical teaching, and administration. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Private practice privilege is integrated with this appointment. Should this privilege not be exercised, the successful applicant will be further assigned academic duties.
