AUF Western Europe is launching a competition to reward the best popular science content written in French by a young researcher.
The research carried out by young researchers within its network is characterized by its great dynamism. The call aims to highlight the many initiatives that question and participate in the rapprochement between science, culture and society. These initiatives bear witness to an innovative and accessible scientific communication approach. Through this competition, AUF thus intends to encourage other means of communication for the dissemination of knowledge.
Who can participate in this competition?
This competition is open to any doctoral student or young researcher who has submitted and / or defended his thesis for less than 7 years in a higher education and research establishment member of AUF – Europe of the West (215 establishments in 13 countries: see complete list of members ).
How to participate to the contest ?

Only one popular science content, less than 24 months old, may be offered. Video, audio, text (scientific blog article, etc.) and comic formats are accepted according to the terms set out in the regulations. The theme proposed by the participant must illustrate at least one of the 4 categories defined below:
- Ecological transition, climate, energy, mobility, resources and environment
- Technologies, digital, space, security, robotics, artificial intelligence
- Art (s) and culture (s), inclusive society (s), science and society
- Societal well-being and life sciences

The deadline for applications is May 31, 2021, midnight (Paris time).

Price and valuation
For each of the themes presented within the framework of this competition, the winner will be awarded a single prize in the amount of € 1,000. The winner will also benefit from an enhancement of the award-winning content on the AUF Western Europe site and social networks.
