Nursing Practice and Research Coordinator (RN)

As the Nursing Practice and Research Coordinator, you will:

  • Oversee the selection, management, analysis and publication of nursing evidence-based and research projects.
  • Ensure collaboration with other disciplines and coordination of nursing research efforts throughout Kootenai Health.
  • Support and/or lead the Nursing Research SubCouncil.
  • Educate nurses and others regarding EBP and research principles and processes.
  • Ensure Magnet standards related to research and evidence-based practice.
  • Familiar with a variety of nursing and research concepts, practices and procedures
  • Organizes and conducts workshops, conferences and activities to promote nursing research at Kootenai Health
  • Regularly connects with nurses to educate, mentor and enhance knowledge of evidence-based practice and research
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

  • Exhibit wide degree of creativity and latitude to inject an enthusiastic spirit of inquiry

To be successful in this role, you will need: 

  • BSN and a Master’s degree in Nursing or a healthcare-related field OR MSN required. PhD/ PhD candidate or DNP in nursing preferred.
  • State of Idaho Registered Nurse or licensure pending as documented by temporary licensure OR current RN licensure from a state participating in the “multistate privilege to practice” compact with Idaho
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in research-related experience required
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in clinical nursing required.
  • Previous experience in designing, developing, conducting and evaluating training programs for adult learners preferred.
