Corona .. Infection is spreading in Africa and emergencies are increasing worldwide

The spread of the Corona virus has increased in Africa, with several countries registering their first infections at one time, while precautionary measures have intensified worldwide, including the closure of airspace and curfews in some regions.

Namibia, Sudan, Mauritania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Guinea and the Kingdom of Swatini (formerly Swaziland) have confirmed the first cases of the new coronavirus, bringing the number of African countries with the disease to 20.

On Friday, the Sudanese Ministry of Health announced in a statement that the country’s first HIV infection had been registered and the owner died on Thursday. Health Minister Akram Al-Tom said the deceased was a 50-year-old citizen who visited the Emirates in the first week of this month. The Minister announced that the Sudanese government has decided to suspend all activities in the country, to organize sporting activities without an audience and to prohibit officials from traveling abroad, except when necessary under the plan to fight the Corona virus.

The Mauritanian Ministry of Health said Friday evening that the first case of coronavirus in the country was a European who lives in Mauritania and returned to Nouakchott, the capital on March 9 and has been quarantined since then, and his nationality n has not been determined.

Africa has not experienced a rapid spread of the disease, as has happened in Europe or East Asia, and most of the cases recorded on the brown continent are linked to foreigners or citizens who have traveled abroad, but the continent’s ability to cope with the virus is of increasing concern.
