York University is now undertaking a search for a Director of Organizational Change Management for the Student System Renewal Program

York University is now undertaking a search for a Director of Organizational Change Management for the Student System Renewal Program, on a full-time basis for the length of the program until the end of year 2023, with opportunity for extension.

The Director of Organizational Change Management (OCM) will be responsible for leading and implementing the change strategy for the Student System Renewal Program (SSRP). The OCM Director will provide senior level strategic management and guidance on change strategies, plans and activities that meet the program’s overall success. The Director will also take a lead in engaging the York community on sustaining new operational models and systems. The successful incumbent will provide best-practice change methodology, guidance and recommendations to Executive Sponsors, Program Sponsors, Program Directors, project team members and university stakeholders and will play a leadership role in building greater capacity throughout the University to manage and lead change. The Director, OCM will work to assess the organization’s culture, capacity and readiness for change and will develop and implement strategies that will support the people and the organization to effectively adjust to new ways of working.

This position reports directly to the Program Director, SSRP, and will work closely with a broad range of stakeholders. The Director, OCM will lead a team of change management, communications, organizational learning and organizational design professionals in executing the multi-dimensional SSRP change strategy, working in a large, complex, multi-site unionized environment. The Director, OCM will also be a contributing member on other university-wide change initiatives.
