Deadline for application: January 31, 2019
Created in 1988, the “Louis Dumont Fund for Research in Social Anthropology” offers a one-off assistance program devoted exclusively to field investigation projects. It is aimed at young anthropologists and anthropologists, at the master 2, PhD and post-doctorate levels, without nationality requirements but necessarily based and registered in France. It is managed by the House Foundation of Human Sciences.
Points to remember
- The support of the Fund concerns only projects of social anthropology, favoring the collection of a descriptive material and the opening of a monographic perspective.
- The job of researcher implies the acquisition of a disciplinary knowledge. A training in the methods of anthropology is here required.
- The Fund is there to provide the laureates with additional resources: participation in travel and / or field trips. This mobility aid is estimated at between 2,000 and 3,000 euros.
- Candidates could be contacted for a personal interview.
