HJF is seeking Project Management Analyst to support the Navy and Marine Corp Public Health Center’s (MCPHC) Department of Health Promotion and Wellness (HWA) located in Portsmouth, VA. HJF provides scientific, technical and programmatic support services to MCPHC.

This position will support the logistics and strategic planning efforts regarding development of content, trainings, tools, and material that will facilitate readiness and resilience, prevent illness and injury, hasten recovery, and promote lifelong healthy behaviors and lifestyles.

Responsibilities: 

  1. Provide input for program development and create opportunities to engage in Health Promotion and Wellness topics.
  2. Support the development and implementation of strategic planning efforts and training program logistics.
  3. Work with the government Department Technical Points of Contact/Project Leads to
  4. Provide recurring and ad hoc reports based on program standards.
  5. Monitor project resources, resource gaps, and provide recommendations to meet
  6. needs of projects regarding personnel, budget and fiscal matters.
  7. Participate in multidisciplinary teams that assess risk, conduct needs assessments, analyze data, develop content for educational programs, draft policy guidance, and evaluate outcome measures.
  8. Develop and deliver clear and concise briefings and papers on complex strategic issues on short timelines to very senior audiences and to personnel with diverse backgrounds preferred
  9. Completes other projects as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of regulations (SECNAV, OPNAV, MARCORPS, DoD and subordinate organizations) that pertain to matters within program responsibilities, laws pertaining to such, various internal and external studies, demographic information and evaluations of matter within program responsibilities preferred.

Minimum Education/Training Requirements: BS degree in Public Health, Health Education, Health Management or Education required.

Minimum Experience: 3-5 years with 3 of those years project management.

Work Environment:  Office and laboratory environment.

Background: U.S. Citizenship required; eligibility to obtain and hold a Secret Security Clearance.
