HJF is seeking a Health Promotion and Wellness Training Manager to support the Department of Health Promotion and Wellness (HPW) within the Navy and Marine Corp Public Health Center (NMCPHC) located in Portsmouth, VA. HJF provides scientific, technical and programmatic support services to HPW and NMCPHC.
This position will support development of content, trainings, tools, and material that will facilitate readiness and resilience, prevent illness and injury, hasten recovery, and promote lifelong healthy behaviors and lifestyles.
Responsibilities:
- Assists redesign and improvement of HPW training program.
- Document review and improvement process.
- Coordinating logistics and trainign scheduling
- Assist with the assessment of the Health Promotion and Wellness needs and improvements to services.
- Support the development of multimedia products (using both graphics, LMS, and development tools) for a wide variety of stakeholders as directed and will participate in and plan workshops along with other specialized training on graphics, video and multimedia design and development/production.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and educational materials as they are used.
- Comply with policy, regulations, instructions, standards, and guidelines related to HPW program issues.
- Completes other projects as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Candidate must possess effective communication skills with the ability to translate requirements into solutions. Familiarity with using Adobe Captivate to develop interactive elearning courses.
Minimum Education/Training Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications or a related field required.
Minimum Experience/ Training Requirements: 6-8 years’ experience supporting the development of training curriculum and/or course materials in a DoD environment required.
Required Licenses, Certification or Registration: Trainingrelated professional certifications preferred.
Work Environment: Set in an office and laboratory environment.
Background: U.S. Citizenship required; eligibility to obtain and hold a Secret Security Clearance.
