Algoma University invites applications for a 3-year limited term appointment at its Sault Ste. Marie campus in Computer Science and Mathematics, at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning January 1, 2021. The Department of Computer Science and Mathematics offers a Bachelor of Computer Science with specializations in Computer Games Technology and Mobile Software Engineering. The successful candidate must hold a PhD in Computer Science or a related area, have a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching, and possess teaching expertise and/or research expertise in areas related to Mobile Computing, which might include several of the following: mobile programming, networking, operating systems, information technology and mobile hardware. The successful candidate will be expected to teach two first/second year mathematics courses annually, as well as general programming or mobile computing courses. Experience with remote/online/hybrid/technologically-assisted instruction is desirable.
