Résumé du poste :

SAP+D recherche un professeur assistant dynamique et innovant spécialisé dans le changement climatique, l'optimisation énergétique et l'urbanisation. Ce rôle est conçu pour les personnes qui s'engagent à faire progresser la recherche et l'enseignement dans l'interaction critique entre l'atténuation du changement climatique, les solutions énergétiques durables et l'optimisation des environnements urbains. Le candidat retenu contribuera à l'excellence académique de l'école grâce à des recherches rigoureuses, un enseignement de haute qualité et un engagement actif auprès des communautés mondiales et locales.

Principales responsabilités:

Développement de l’enseignement et des programmes d’études :

Développer et enseigner des cours de premier cycle et des cycles supérieurs liés au changement climatique, à l'optimisation énergétique et à l'urbanisation. 

Superviser des projets d'étudiants, des thèses et des mémoires axés sur le changement climatique, l'optimisation énergétique et l'urbanisation. 

Contribuer au développement et à l’amélioration des programmes d’études, en assurant l’intégration de recherches et de pratiques de pointe en matière de changement climatique, d’optimisation énergétique et d’urbanisation.

Contribuer au développement de méthodes d’enseignement et d’approches de recherche innovantes qui font progresser le domaine du changement climatique, de l’optimisation énergétique et de l’urbanisation. 

Recherche:

Mener des recherches originales dans le domaine des matériaux et des méthodes de construction résilients et durables, en contribuant à l'ensemble des connaissances avec des publications dans des revues universitaires et des conférences réputées.

Rechercher et obtenir des financements auprès de sources externes pour soutenir des projets et des initiatives de recherche.

Collaborer avec des partenaires industriels, d’autres institutions universitaires et des organismes de recherche sur des projets qui font progresser le domaine.

Service administratif et académique :

Participer à l'administration de programmes académiques liés aux sciences du bâtiment, aux matériaux et à la construction résilients et durables.

Participer au recrutement et à la rétention des étudiants.

Contribuer à l'élaboration de propositions de nouvelles offres académiques dans le domaine des matériaux et de la construction résilients et durables.

Qualifications:

doctorat dans le changement climatique, l'urbanisation ou dans un domaine étroitement lié mettant l'accent sur le changement climatique, l'optimisation énergétique et l'urbanisation.

Expérience avérée en matière de recherche dans les domaines de l'atténuation du changement climatique, de l'énergie durable et de l'optimisation urbaine, comme en témoignent des publications dans des revues à fort impact et des demandes de subvention réussies.

Expérience dans l'enseignement et l'élaboration de programmes d'études dans l'enseignement supérieur. Engagement envers des méthodes d’enseignement innovantes et capacité d’impliquer les étudiants dans un apprentissage interdisciplinaire.

Solides compétences analytiques et quantitatives, maîtrise des logiciels de modélisation et de simulation pertinents, excellentes compétences en communication et en relations interpersonnelles et capacité à travailler en collaboration dans un environnement multidisciplinaire.

Ce poste s'adresse aux personnes passionnées par l'intersection de la technologie et de l'architecture, en se concentrant sur des approches innovantes en matière de conception, de planification et de construction. Le candidat retenu dirigera des initiatives de recherche, enseignera et s'engagera dans des services qui font progresser l'intégration des technologies numériques dans l'architecture et le design urbain.

Principales responsabilités:

Développement de l’enseignement et des programmes d’études :

Tâches administratives:

Participer à l'administration de programmes académiques liés à la RA, à la VR et à l'IA appliquées à l'architecture et à l'environnement bâti.

Participer aux réunions départementales, aux comités et aux processus d'accréditation.

Contribuer à l'élaboration de propositions de nouvelles offres académiques dans les domaines de l'AR, de la VR et de l'IA appliquées à l'architecture et à l'environnement bâti.

Qualifications:

Doctorat en informatique ou technologie de l'information, avec une spécialisation sur la numérisation, la réalité virtuelle, la réalité augmentée, l'IA appliquées à l'architecture et à l'environnement bâti ou à des domaines connexes.

Une expérience avérée en matière de recherche et de publication dans des revues et conférences à fort impact.

Expérience dans l'enseignement et l'encadrement d'étudiants au niveau universitaire.

Solide expérience en matière d'obtention de financement de recherche provenant de diverses sources.

Excellentes compétences en communication, tant écrites qu'orales, avec la capacité de mobiliser un large éventail d'étudiants et de collaborateurs.

A unique chance for academic clinicians to get industry-academic clinical training with a focus on drug discovery is provided by the AACR Research Training Fellowships. These fellowships in the United States are intended to support hands-on training at the American Association for Cancer Research’s facilities, which are partners in the pharmaceutical sector. A stipend of $100,000 is awarded to each AACR fellow who is accepted. This significant amount allows the fellow to focus entirely on the training programme and support their research and training activities for a full year. This stipend pays for living expenses as well as other training-related fees, freeing them up to concentrate solely on learning new things. A great research programme for medical students to study in the United States is the AACR Clinical Oncology Research (CORE) Training Fellowships.

Qualifications for 2024 AACR Research Training Fellowships:

At the start of the grant period, applicants need to fulfil the following criteria:

  • Applicants must not be pursuing another doctorate degree at this time and hold a medical degree (such as an MD, DO, or MD/PhD) in a relevant discipline.
  • Be enrolled in a recognised fellowship programme in oncology or haematology at a US academic, medical, or research institution.
  • Not work for or have any affiliation with a for-profit private company or US government agency.
  • Furthermore, this funding is not available to clinical fellows applying from US government laboratories (NIH, CDC, FDA).
  • If the candidate is not a citizen of the United States, they must confirm that their visa status allows them to work with the industry partner on-site during the fellowship while maintaining their job at the host institution.
  • Every candidate needs to be an AACR member. If a non-member would like to apply for this grant, they must submit a valid AACR membership application by the deadline.

The Benefits of USA AACR Research Training Fellowships:

  • A huge stipend of $100,000 is awarded to fellows for the course of the programme, which lasts one year. They can concentrate fully on their training and research without having to worry about money thanks to this financial help.
  • In addition to the grant money, applicants may additionally receive a restricted stipend of $7,500 to help with the fellow’s transportation costs to and from the industry location.

La proposition de cette chaire devra s'inscrire dans le thème fédérateur Vieillissement de la population.     ENGLISH VERSION PDF     Le recrutement d'une personne chercheuse dans le domaine des cétothérapeutique permettra de mieux comprendre comment les interventions nutritionnelles cétothérapeutiques peuvent être utilisées pour soutenir la santé du cerveau ou cardiométabolique. L'UdeS et Nestlé Health Science viennent de s'associer pour créer une chaire de recherche qui se concentrera sur l'utilisation thérapeutique des cétones pour améliorer la santé. La chaire bénéficie d'un financement annuel renouvelable. Le recrutement d'une nouvelle personne chercheuse dans ce domaine permettra de poursuivre le développement de ce nouveau domaine de recherche soutenu par la Chaire. Avec une population vieillissante et peu de solutions pour les maladies neurodégénératives ou cardiométaboliques, il est crucial d'assurer la relève en recherche dans ce domaine.   Les objectifs principaux de la Chaire sont d'approfondir nos connaissances des effets thérapeutiques des cétones et d'ouvrir un ou des nouveaux domaines de recherche sur les applications thérapeutiques des cétones.   Les valeurs ajoutées incluent de :    
  • Maintenir l'Université de Sherbrooke comme chef de file mondial dans le domaine de la cétothérapeutique. 
  • Former des étudiants et étudiantes pour élargir l'expertise en cétothérapeutique au Québec et au Canada. 
  • Accroître et consolider les collaborations locales, nationales et internationales développées par Prof. Cunnane dans le domaine du métabolisme énergétique et effet thérapeutique des cétones.
La personne candidate détiendra la chaire sur une période initiale de 5 ans, avec possibilité de renouvellement de multiple fois, chaque fois pour un autre mandat de 5 ans après examen du dossier. La personne candidate sera invitée à devenir chercheuse régulière ou chercheur régulier et bénéficiera des installations du Centre de recherche sur le vieillissement (CdRV) du CIUSSS de l'Estrie-CHUS (ou au sein des autres centres affiliés de l'UdeS le cas échéant).

Profil recherché

La personne candidate doit détenir un Ph.D. en sciences biomédicales et/ou MD avec minimalement une M.Sc en sciences biomédicales ou en épidémiologie.   La personne candidate devra avoir une expérience en recherche clinique (recherche chez les humains, mais pas nécessairement des personnes avec une maladie). Elle devra détenir des connaissances dans la biologie des cétones et de leur potentiel thérapeutique dans des maladies chroniques (psychiatriques, neurologiques ou autres).   Il est à noter que le domaine d'expertise biomédical visé (neurologie, cardiologie, immunologie, autre) n'est pas spécifiquement précisé afin de faciliter le recrutement d'une personne candidate qui amènera sa propre vision et expérience en recherche clinique avec les cétones.   La personne sera choisie par un comité de sélection en fonction des critères suivants :    
  • La pertinence scientifique de la proposition. 
  • L'impact structurant de la proposition en regard des thématiques de recherche de l'Université de Sherbrooke et de ses programmes. 
  • L'adéquation de la candidature en fonction des orientations de l'Université de Sherbrooke. 
  • Au regard du bassin de candidatures potentielles, la contribution à l'atteinte des cibles institutionnelles en matière de diversité et d'équité, en particulier pour les groupes désignés au sens du Programme d'accès à l'égalité en emploi (PAEE).

La recherche fondamentale, appliquée et clinique constitue une force de notre établissement. La Faculté de médecine et des sciences de la santé de l'Université de Sherbrooke jouit d'une réputation de premier ordre grâce à ses innovations pédagogiques, à son adaptation constante aux besoins changeants de la société ainsi qu'au succès de ses équipes de recherche de classe mondiale. À propos du Département

Le Département de pédiatrie compte 74 professeurs, incluant 10 équipes de recherche reconnues dirigées par des cliniciens-chercheurs ou chercheurs fondamentaux. Ses membres participent à l’enseignement au programme MD et aux programmes d’études supérieures en immunologie, physiologie, sciences de la santé, sciences des radiations/imagerie et biochimie. La construction en cours du nouveau centre de soins mère-enfant offrira prochainement les conditions idéales pour le transfert des connaissances issues de la recherche préclinique aux patients d'âge pédiatrique.

Profil recherché

Les candidatures recherchées sont celles de candidates et candidats d'exception titulaire d’un PhD et ayant une formation postdoctorale en recherche préclinique ou translationnelle appliquée aux soins critiques en néonatologie ou pédiatrie, avec expérience sur des modèles précliniques de grands animaux. Cette formation en recherche préclinique devrait être applicable aux soins critiques dans les domaines respiratoire ou cardiovasculaire, de la neuroinflammation ou du neurodéveloppement; elle peut aussi être dans le domaine des soins critiques au sens large, y compris le développement de technologies biomédicales.   Le Département de pédiatrie souhaite ainsi faire le pont entre la recherche en pathologies respiratoires du nouveau-né – qui représente une tradition vieille de 40 ans dans notre institution – et les pôles de recherche en soins critiques, en neuroscience, en imagerie et en physiologie. La disponibilité des modèles sur les grands animaux (ovins et porcins) est un atout majeur permettant de développer une thématique de recherche reproduisant fidèlement les soins offerts aux nouveau-nés et aux enfants en contexte de soins intensifs. La personne candidate devra donc développer son propre programme de recherche, mais devra aussi établir de riches collaborations avec des chercheurs en sciences fondamentales et cliniques, dans un milieu unique lui permettant de se démarquer par rapport aux chercheurs des autres institutions au Québec et au Canada.   Le programme de recherche devra s'articuler autour des domaines ciblés appliqués aux soins critiques en néonatalogie ou en pédiatrie, ainsi qu'aux séquelles à long terme qui en découlent.   La personne candidate retenue devra établir et maintenir un programme de recherche indépendant, financé par des fonds externes, et obtenir un soutien salarial de sources externes (ex. FRQS). La personne retenue devra collaborer activement avec les chercheurs du Département de pédiatrie, en particulier avec l’équipe de recherche sur les ovins. Il est aussi attendu que la candidate ou le candidat collabore avec les chercheurs du Centre de recherche mère-enfant de l'Université de Sherbrooke et avec les membres du Centre d'excellence en neurosciences de l'Université de Sherbrooke. Des collaborations pourront aussi se développer avec les chercheurs du Département d'immunologie-biologie cellulaire et du Centre d'imagerie moléculaire de Sherbrooke. Ces regroupements reconnus internationalement constituent des conditions idéales pour le développement d'un programme de recherche actif et innovant et d'un leadership fort sur les scènes nationale et internationale. Tous les chercheurs de la Faculté de médecine et des sciences de la santé ont accès à des équipements scientifiques de pointe et à un environnement de recherche interdisciplinaire.   La personne candidate devra avoir une expérience en supervision d'étudiants et devra, à terme, s'impliquer dans l'enseignement aux 1er, 2e et 3e cycles. La connaissance de la langue française, ou l'engagement à apprendre la langue à court terme, est essentiel.

  • Avoir un intérêt marqué pour la recherche (disciplinaire, interdisciplinaire) et pour le transfert de connaissance et l'innovation.
  • Démontrer une bonne capacité à diriger des étudiantes et étudiants aux cycles supérieurs.
  • Avoir un dossier de publications dans des revues à comité de lecture de niveau international, attestant de l'excellence du dossier de recherche.
  • Démontrer des habiletés à établir et maintenir de bonnes relations interpersonnelles, un sens de la collaboration et des habiletés au travail d'équipe.

Position Summary

We invite talented post-doctoral candidates with an interest in cancer genomics, multi-omic data analysis, algorithm design, and/or deep learning to apply for a position in Jin Zhang, PhD, MPHS’s translational genomics lab (https://sites.wustl.edu/jinzhang) at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, MO. This postdoc will also be co-advised by Michael Waters, MD, PhD (https://www.linkedin.com/in/mike-waters-92a20247/), who will be an Assistant Professor at WashU starting July 2024.

Since joining the WUSTL faculty in 2017, Dr. Zhang has built a lab with an ambitious interest in developing tools and applying cutting-edge bioinformatic and deep learning/AI techniques to advance our understanding of cancer biology and treatment. Our agile, growing research group has been funded by multiple grant awards from the National Cancer Institute, including 2 NCI R01s received last year. We are also extremely proud to be part of the Translational Radiation Oncology Center (TARGET) supported by an NCI U54 Specialized Center grant (https://sites.wustl.edu/translationalradiation/). The Zhang lab currently has 10 members and is looking to expand to 14 in the next year.

The candidate will enjoy significant autonomy while playing a critical role in finding new discoveries and developing advanced genomic and/or deep learning/AI approaches in cancer biology as applied in personalized radiation therapy (RT). The candidate will also lead projects on multi-omics data integration and clinical imaging data integration. We are aware that most of the candidates won’t be immediately an expert on all the above domains in our groundbreaking multi-disciplinary research. The candidate will enjoy significant mentorship from Drs. Zhang and Waters and experienced lab members to develop their domain knowledge and ability to lead research teams, including guidance in career development and transition to an independent investigator. The position also offers an excellent opportunity to conduct research in a supportive and stimulating environment, closely collaborating with computer scientists, biologists, and clinicians within Department of Radiation Oncology and other institutes across the campus, including the McDonnell Genome Institute, Institute for Informatics, and Siteman Cancer Center.

Department Summary

The Cancer Biology Division within the Department of Radiation Oncology consists of a core group of clinical, physics, and computational science investigators who use both archived and prospectively collected tumor samples to ask fundamental questions about radiotherapy efficacy and cancer biology. The Zhang lab and the Bioinformatics/AI Program work closely with clinicians to identify biomarkers that can be used to stratify patients and to identify patients for targeted therapies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Trains under the supervision of a faculty mentor including (but not limited to):

  • Develop hypotheses and design novel genomics and/or data science/AI approaches in translational cancer genomics and data integration.
  • Build novel pipelines through developing advanced algorithms and integrating cutting-edge bioinformatics tools using sequencing and other omics data and/or image data.
  • Prepare and present results of research in internal seminars and external conferences and journals.
  • Assist with grant preparation and reporting.
  • Train research assistants in the lab and work with other researchers in applying the informatics tools we develop.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must have received, or will receive, a Ph.D. by May 31st, 2024, in bioinformatics, genomics, computational biology, computer science, ML/DL/AI, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with bioinformatic algorithm development and/or bioinformatic data analysis.
  • Proficiency in a programming language, such as Python, C++, and/or Perl.
  • Proficiency in a statistical programming language, such as R and SAS.
  • Experience with scientific computing and data visualization tools.
  • Highly motivated with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of current next-generation sequencing technologies.
  • Understanding of statistical techniques for differential expression, gene set enrichment analysis, clustering, outcome analysis, and multivariant analysis.
  • Experience with Git, Docker, Common Workflow Language, and Cloud computing.
  • Deep understanding of concepts and techniques in machine learning/deep learning with Scikit-Learn, Keras, and/or TensorFlow and PyTorch, and/or other cutting-edge AI technologies, including large language model, etc.

Working Conditions

This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.

Position Summary

The Sadtler lab in the Department of Chemistry at Washington University in St. Louis is seeking to hire a Postdoctoral Research Associate to lead a project on electrolysis in seawater, starting April 2024. This project is a 6-month assignment.

In this position, you will contribute to developing and understanding new electrode materials of interest for stable electrolysis in seawater. This project will include the synthesis and structural characterization of novel electrode materials, characterization of their activity and stability for electrolysis in seawater, and analysis of corrosion mechanisms. The project will take advantage of state-of-the-art instrumentation at the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering (electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction), Chemical and Environmental Analysis Facility (mass spectrometry and porosity analysis), and the Department of Chemistry (absorption and infrared spectroscopy).

In addition to excellent research skills, we are seeking an applicant who prioritizes providing proactive mentorship to students, honing communication skills, and working in an interdisciplinary environment. We have an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Fellow (PDF) to carry out cutting edge genomics research on malaria vector mosquitoes to be based in Lawniczak Group at the Wellcome Sanger Institute for 3 years fixed term.

About the Role:

Four major malaria mosquito vector species now have over 20,000 short read genomes from samples collected across the African continent. These data have revealed both extraordinary genetic connectedness between geographically distant populations and even species, but they have also revealed that some populations remain genetically distinct. We observe interesting regions of the genome that likely have structural variation, but short reads aligned to a single reference genome are insufficient to understand these genomic regions. We are now able to routinely generate long read data from single individual mosquitoes.

This project will leverage on the knowledge we already have regarding geographical population structure in An. gambiae, An. coluzzii, An. arabiensis, and An. funestus to study long read genomes from individuals from each species from across their range. We anticipate 100-200 long read genomes per species to gain a pangenome understanding of genomic patterns and differentiation in these important species. There will also be opportunities to return to the short read data that exists for 1000s of indivdiuals and explore this using a graph genome that you will create.

We have other projects in the lab focused on secondary malaria vectors and other important fly species (e.g. pollinators) and there will be multiple opportunities to collaborate on projects. Currently, the pangenomes project is focused on geographic spatial variation in Africa, but there may be opportunities to add in a temporal component to explore how variation changes over time, especially in response to malaria control interventions.

You will be responsible for leading the pangenome analyses for all four species and shaping additional data generation plans based on findings. You will also play an important role in developing digestible and informative data visualisation for researchers and colleagues (e.g. National Malaria Control Programs).

The role is primarily an analytical and computational role, though there may be some wet lab work required on occasion. For example, we are also pursuing the potential to capture full-length transcriptomes for each specimen we generate long read data from.

About You: You will have a strong interest in genomes and malaria and in the application of DNA to infectious disease monitoring and elimination. You will be creative and dedicated to making maximal use of the samples and the resulting data to benefit malaria vector research while carrying out interesting evolutionary genetics research.

Detailed Description

We are looking for talented and highly motivated individuals to contribute to teaching and research in Aerospace Engineering, as part of the Institute of Mechanical, Process & Energy Engineering (IMPEE), School of Engineering and Physical Sciences (EPS). You will have evidence of developing an international research portfolio and should possess a clear research vision in Aerospace Engineering and related areas. The applications should concern research and/or teaching experience in Aerospace Engineering with specialisation on Space topics. You will have opportunities for the development of an independent research portfolio, in collaboration with our existing research groups across the School.

You will also be involved in teaching and learning activities in the Mechanical Engineering discipline of the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences (EPS) at the Edinburgh Campus, delivering and assessing undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at our Edinburgh campus in collaboration with colleagues at our overseas campuses in Dubai and Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities 

Work activities will vary according to the requirements of the job and individual areas of teaching and research responsibility, however general responsibilities are typically, but not restricted to, the following:

  • Leading and engaging in research and actively contributing to the university’s research profile, including managing, and supervising and mentoring research-active staff where appropriate.
  • Actively pursuing research funding through the submission of high-quality grant proposals.
  • Establishing collaborative research and teaching links outside the university via funding councils, industry, business, and public bodies.
  • Developing cross-Research Institute, School, University, and external research links and networks, with a view to maximising research funding opportunities and associated activities.
  • Contributing to School, Institute and research group strategic planning where required, as well as carrying out general research administration.
  • Publicising research through the preparation and submission of journal and conference papers and participating in academic conferences.
  • Representing the institution in a professional capacity, particularly with regard to research dissemination and development e.g. conferences, meetings, with industrial partners, etc.;
  • Supervising and mentoring undergraduate students, postgraduate students and research associates’ research work.
  • Teaching through the delivery of lectures, tutorials and laboratories, assessing the relevant students’ work as well as setting and marking examinations and coursework.
  • Designing and developing teaching materials and new teaching methods, using personal research to inform teaching where appropriate.
  • Carrying out general academic administration, including participation on committees and exam boards, taking responsibility for key discipline-specific administration tasks and mentoring students.
  • Undertaking continuous professional development (CPD) and participating in staff development activities.

Education, Qualifications and Experience

Essential Criteria 

  • First degree in mechanical engineering, electrical or chemical engineering (or a closely related discipline)
  • PhD within the area of Aerospace or related engineering (e.g. Mechanical Engineering)
  • Demonstrated research portfolio within the field of Aerospace Engineering
  • Demonstrated initiative in obtaining research funding.
  • Research portfolio complementary to Heriot-Watt’s approach to impact-led projects.
  • Demonstrable track-record of high-quality research published in internationally renowned journals.
  • Evidence of teaching and assessment of undergraduate and graduate engineering students in aerospace engineering topics, with priority given to Space topics such as space propulsion, space vehicles, space systems and space dynamics
  • Evidence of general academic research leadership (can be initiating joint proposals, influencing colleagues to work in teams, etc.)
  • Effective and engaging communicator
  • Good oral and written presentation skills.

Desirable Criteria 

  • CEng or working towards CEng status
  • Demonstrates evidence of willingness to be involved in collaborative research.
  • Demonstrates willingness to participate in international delivery of programmes.
  • Evidence of leadership of research teams, including successful supervision of PhD students and managing post-Docs.
  • Experience of playing and/or developing a significant role in collaborative academic-industrial research projects.

The School of Engineering & Physical Sciences (EPS) was created in August 2002. We are a community of over 340 staff and around 3,000 students across our three campuses in Scotland, Dubai and Malaysia. We provide world-class education to our students across six undergraduate programmes: Chemistry; Physics; Electrical, Electronic & Computer Engineering; Chemical & Process Engineering; Mechanical Engineering and Brewing & Distilling and will soon add Aerospace Engineering to our undergraduate programme portfolio. We are seeking an experienced and leading academic researcher to lead and develop research and teaching activities in areas related to advanced materials, aerospace or solid mechanics.

The post holder will be line managed by the Head of the Institute for Mechanical, Process and Energy Engineering (IMPEE) and assigned teaching responsibilities by the Mechanical Engineering Senior Programme Director.

About the Fellowship

Eligibility

This Fellowship is aimed at early career researchers and the general requirements are an Undergraduate degree and PhD awarded from institutions from within the UK, the Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands (the common travel area). We pride ourselves in offering a first-class and well-resourced exceptional learning environment and our Postdoctoral Fellowship Development Programme provides a comprehensive training experience designed to equip you with the knowledge, training and skills you require to be successful in your future careers – whatever you may do.

This particular scheme is open to people who self-identify as being from a Black heritage background, including a Mixed heritage background. For example, Black African; Black Caribbean; Black Other; Mixed background (to include Black African, Black Caribbean or other Black backgrounds).

Salary

You will be part of our Postdoctoral Fellowship programme and will be paid in line with this pay scale (£38,000 - £49,156 in 2024), dependent on skills and experience. The Sanger Excellence Fellowship also includes research consumables of up to £18,000 per annum, dependent on the nature of the project and a budget of £1,500 per annum for you to attend conferences and training.

Start date

There is flexibility with the start date, but you should be able to start by the end of December 2024.

The Fellowship runs for three years and can be worked full-time, part-time or flexibly.
