The Foundation for the Memory of Slavery has been awarding since 2005 an annual prize of 7000 euros, which rewards a thesis in social sciences and humanities. Created by the National Committee for the Memory of Slavery CNMHE, this prize rewards a thesis in the aforementioned disciplines, the subject of which relates to the history of the slave trade, slavery and abolitions in the colonial era or to its consequences in today’s world. The deadline for submitting applications has been extended to February 20, 2022.
The prize is awarded by the Foundation for the Memory of Slavery , on the decision of a jury composed within the Scientific Council of the Foundation . The prize money is €7,000, partly dependent on the publication of the thesis.
