Eligibility We are looking for women who:

  • Are able to take up a course of study in the UK for the academic year from September/October 2022 – 2023.
  • Can demonstrate a need for financial support.
  • Have an undergraduate degree that will enable them to gain access to one of the pre-selected postgraduate courses at a UK university.
  • Can attain the level of English required for postgraduate study/research at a UK university.
  • Are active in the field with work experience or a proven interest in their subject area.
  • Are passionate about their course of study and are willing to engage as committed British Council scholarship alumni.
  • Scholars are also required to show in their application form that:
  • They are active in the field with work experience or with a proven interest in the programme area they are applying for.
  • They are willing to demonstrate future contributions to capacity-building and socio-economic advancement through the benefits achieved after graduating from UK higher education and returning to their home country.
  • They can demonstrate a plan and passion to engage other women and girls in STEM from their home country.
  • They agree that their personal data can be shared with the British Council as a condition of applying for the bursary.
Requirements
  • You should choose the university that you want to do your studies at according to your country and fill in the required application.
