We are seeking outstanding candidate with a strong background in yeast biotechnology and bioprocess for biomolecules bioproduction.

The candidate will be involved in a French national grand challenge funded project aimed at biologics production: i) ANR Grand Défi Biomédicaments already running (immediate hiring) and ii) an EIC PathFinder Horizon Europe funding starting from April 2022.

The candidates will have the opportunity to interact with French outstanding experts (from academic labs, private company and big pharma) in yeast biology, yeast biotechnology, RNA biology and therapeutics who are part of the consortium built to achieve the challenging goal.

The project is developed in Innovative therapies and Nanomedicine’s lab at Center for Molecular Biophysics (Orléans, France). CBM (~150 scientists and supporting staff) is an interdisciplinary research center with a strong component in nucleic acids research including the development of RNA-based nanomedicinesCBM teams use a combination of approaches, including biochemistry, biophysics, structural/molecular/cellular biology, and preclinical animal testing.

Applicant’s profile :

  • a Ph.D. degree, experience in the following fields will be highly appreciated: biotechnology, genetic engineering or bioprocessing.
  • Essential skills required include experimental protocols and analytical techniques used in molecular biology, genomics and biochemistry.
  • must be an independent fast learner with strong organizational, written, and verbal skills.
  • must have an ability and possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in an intense work environment.
  • Analyze and interpret results, and present at internal meetings and scientific conferences.

CBM offers excellent working conditions and office space. It is located on the CNRS Campus in Orleans,at the heart of the Loire valley,an area offering a superb quality of life. CBM teams benefit from a rich and diverse scientific environment from the CNRS campus, University of Orléans and from its proximity (~1h drive) to research centers in Paris.

The position is open for 3 years. The successful applicants will be hired through fixed-term contracts in accordance with the French legislation.
