Assistant Professor (tenure track) in Entrepreneurship – Geneva, Switzerland

This is a full-time position involving teaching at the bachelor, master and post-graduate levels including the supervision of master theses and doctoral dissertations. The major goal of this open position will be to strengthen the GSEM’s research and teaching capabilities in the area of entrepreneurship.  This will include intensifying the cooperation between the GSEM and the Faculty of Science, in order to boost the entrepreneurial activities at the University of Geneva. Thus, the candidate should have experience or the potential to teach entrepreneurship at all levels, especially topics such as new venture creation/start-up building/growth, business plan development, and management of technology and innovation. Experience in working with start-ups and/or a university incubator is a plus.  The candidate will be expected to develop research at an international level in his/her field of specialization and to obtain external funding. He/she will also be expected to assume management and organizational tasks related to his/her function at the Institute of Management. We are particularly interested in candidates who can strengthen the existing research and teaching areas of the Faculty, especially in Entrepreneurship. The candidate is also expected to engage in the GSEM’s community, to actively collaborate with its various stakeholders, and to contribute to initiatives of the School.

Candidate profile: The candidate must hold a PhD in entrepreneurship (or equivalent) and should have a demonstrated track-record or the potential for conducting research in entrepreneurship. The candidate should be capable to publish in top-tier journals and to acquire advanced research grants (e.g. from the Swiss National Science Foundation). The candidate should have experience or interest in teaching foundational and advanced courses in entrepreneurship. Experience in teaching in executive education programs will be a plus. The candidate is expected to teach in English, and the ability to teach in French is an advantage.

Starting date: September 1st, 2022 or on a later date upon agreement.
