Offer Description

The Director of the Center for Theoretical Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences announces a competition for two student fellowship positions at CFT PAN within the POLONEZ BIS-1 project ‘Wave and Quantum Nature of Cosmological Observables’, funded by the National Science Center (registration number: 2021/43/P/ST2/01802). The project leader is Dr. Nezihe Uzun.

Skills/Qualifications

Candidates applying for the fellowship should possess a Bachelor’s degree or complete their third year of studies before the start of employment. We are looking for individuals interested in research in the field of general relativity. Candidates are expected to have a solid foundation in advanced general relativity and experience in research on inhomogeneous cosmologies, gravity theories with torsion, and gravitational lensing theory.

  1. A scientific CV including the course of studies, scientific achievements (publications, participation in research projects, conference presentations) with a clause stating: “I consent to the processing of my personal data necessary for the recruitment process in accordance with the European Parliament and Council Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of April 27, 2016, on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (GDPR).”
  2. A cover letter.
  3. A completed personal questionnaire form, available on the CFT PAN website under “Careers at CFT.”
  4. Signed GDPR clause [attachment].
  5. A copy of the Bachelor’s degree certificate or a certificate of completion of three years of university studies before the commencement of cooperation.
