The Eira Francis Davies Scholarship is a full scholarship typically awarded to one outstanding female student per academic year. The student must be a national and resident of an eligible developing country, who is pursuing a postgraduate taught master’s degree program within the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences at Swansea University.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must meet all of the strict eligibility criteria listed below…
Applicants must:
1. Hold a minimum of 2: 1 bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
2.officially accepted an offer to study one of the following full-time and postgraduate masters degree programs at Swansea University for entry in September 2021:
Long Term and Chronic Disease Management, MSc
Public Health and Health Promotion, MSc
Clinical Psychology and Mental Health, MSc
Research Methods in Psychology, MSc
Medical Radiation Physics, MSc
3. be a woman.
4. be a new student at Swansea University from September 2021.
5. In their application, demonstrate strong academic ability, a financial plan to study and a motivation for the chosen course at Swansea University.
6. be a national and permanent resident of a non-EU developing country listed by the World Bank’s classification of countries and lending groups as “low income” or “lower middle income” in June 2020. Eligible countries can be found here .
7. not receive any other financial support from Swansea University (eg reduction in tuition fees, scholarship or scholarship).
8. not be a progressing student of College , University of Swansea.
