A PhD position starting 1 October 2020, or as soon as possible thereafter, is available at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) for research on an exciting project in algorithmic cheminformatics supported by the Danish Research Council: “Algorithmic Cheminformatics Meets Causality Analysis”.
We are seeking an excellent and highly motivated individual with either an MSc degree in computer science (5+3 programme), or with 60 ECTS completed within their master’s degree in computer science (4+4 programme). The ideal candidate has familiarity with one or more of the following areas: concurrency theory, graph transformation, algorithmics, algorithm engineering, systems chemistry, or systems biology. Proven competences in programming and ease with formal thinking are a necessity.
The goal of the PhD project will be a combination of state-of-the art approaches from concurrency theory (project co-host Harvard Medical School) and graph transformation (SDU) in order to develop ground-breaking computational methods applicable to the analysis of large networks of chemical reactions
Deadline: 4 September 2020.
