Postdoc in organic synthesis

A Post-doctoral position in Organic chemistry is available at the Institute of Organic Chemistry with Centre of Phytochemistry, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The position is funded by the National Scientific Program “Excellent Research and People for the Development of European Science” (VIHREN).

The successful candidate will be enrolled in a project focused on the development of new technologies for regioselective distal C-H functionalization of important substrates. The main objective will be the exploitation of the results in high-value added product streams for Medicinal chemistry, Chemical biology, etc. The project will be realized at Laboratory Organic Synthesis and Stereochemistry with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Svilen Simeonov. The candidate will join a young and dynamic research team. The work will be mainly focused on experimental organic synthesis and includes the supervision of master and PhD students enrolled in the project.

The candidates should be within up to 5 years since completion of PhD
