A Staff Scientist position is available in the research group of Darren Gilmour at the University of Zurich. The biological focus of the lab is how groups of cells self-assemble into differentiated organs. We aim to apply this knowledge to develop synthetic biology approaches that enable precise ‘on demand’ control of organ repair and reprogramming in vivo (https://www.mls.uzh.ch/en/research/gilmour/research.html)
The position ideally suited for a PhD-level scientist interested in advancing and applying innovative technologies to control cells in their native habitat, in a position that provides security to pursue longer-term research goals. They will participate in collaborations with wet-lab experimentalists and computational biologists.
