Postdoctoral Position Available in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry

Postdoctoral position are immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Changchun Liu at UConn Health in Farmington, Connecticut, USA, through NIH funded projects. We currently apply highly interdisciplinary approaches (e.g., CRISPR technology, molecular biology) to develop new method and technology to solve current challenges in life sciences, such as disease diagnostics, medical therapeutics, as well as personalized medicine. Candidates should have a PhD or MD or equivalent degree and have related experience in at least one of the following areas: Molecular biology, Biochemistry (e.g., nucleic acids chemistry), Genome editing (e.g., CRISPR technology), Synthetic Biology, Cell biology, Genetics and Microfluidics. The candidates should be proficient in basic molecular biology techniques, including RT-PCR, qPCR, gel electrophoresis, DNA sequencing, and cell cultures etc. Experience and knowledge of microfluidics are not essential for this position. The candidates are expected to work independently as well as collaboratively with other lab members and external collaborators (e.g., Harvard Medical School, Penn Medical School).
