PhD postion in Organic Chemsitry

A PhD position in Organic chemistry under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Svilen Simeonov is available at the Institute of Organic Chemistry with Centre of Phytochemistry, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The position is funded by the National Scientific Program “Excellent Research and People for the Development of European Science” (VIHREN).

The PhD student will be enrolled in a project focused on the development of new technologies for regioselective distal C-H functionalization of important substrates. The main objective will be the exploitation of the results in high-value added product streams for Medicinal chemistry, Chemical biology, etc. The candidate will be trained in Advanced organic synthesis, Transition metal catalysis, NMR, and Flow chemistry. In addition, the PhD student will participate in postgraduate courses at the Training&Development Center of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
