Salary £36914 to £49553 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The University of Nottingham seeks applications for a full-time Assistant Professor in Aerospace Structures to contribute to teaching on our growing undergraduate taught programs in Aerospace engineering. This role is offered as either research & teaching where the person appointed would lead relevant research programs complementing and expanding existing capability or as teaching & learning focused.  It is anticipated that this latter might appeal to someone moving into academia from industry as well as existing academics with a T&L focus.

It is expected that the ideal candidate will have expertise in broad areas related to aerospace structures, including but not limited to: computer aided engineering and design of aerospace systems.

The role holder will take responsibility for delivering high quality teaching and contributing to the planning, design, development and delivery of materials for undergraduate programmes in the Department of Mechanical, Materials and Manufacturing Engineering.  The role will include the development of course curricula and teaching materials as required.

The post holder may also make a significant contribution to the Department/Faculty via leadership and/or administrative management and/or co-ordination of specific initiatives
