We are seeking a dynamic team player to meet the educational needs of the healthcare system. Currently, the School of Nursing offers BScN, MN, PN (Williams Lake only), and HCA programs.

The School of Nursing seeks applications for a 1 year Limited Term Bipartite position in the Health Care Assistant program. Potential start date is July 1, 2021

Responsibilities of a member with a bipartite appointment shall include a combination of teaching in the HCA program, professional role and service.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • PhD or other doctorate; consideration may be given to doctoral candidates who will complete their degree by the appointment date or shortly thereafter;
  • Master’s degree with current practice and teaching experience may be considered;
  • Holds a minimum of one (1) degree in nursing;
  • Minimum two (2) years experience in a Long Term Care,in a nurse/client relationship
  • Evidence of continuous learning in the field of expertise;
  • Experience teaching theory and clinical practice in Health Care Assistant settings;
  • Experience with simulation learning environments is asset;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • An understanding of, and experience in, the Canadian healthcare system; and
  • Current BCCNM registration in good standing without limits or conditions, or eligibility for registration with BCCNM prior to appointment.
