The School of Political Studies at the University of Ottawa and the School of Sociological and Anthropological Studies wish to fill a regular joint position of professor (open rank) interested in issues of colonialism and indigeneity. , race and / or anti-racism in Canada. Candidates will be called upon to teach at the School of Political Studies and in Sociology at the School of Sociological and Anthropological Studies, on an equal basis. The selected candidate will be able to choose his or her main institutional link between the two Schools.

The Faculty of Social Sciences offers, in French and English, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs in nine departments, schools and institutes. With its some 10,000 students, its 260 regular professors, its wide choice of programs and its research centers, the Faculty of Social Sciences occupies a privileged place at the heart of the University of Ottawa. The Faculty’s graduate students, supervised by experienced researchers, carry out cutting-edge work in our numerous master’s and doctoral programs.

  • Participation in the educational and administrative activities of the University;

Term:  Position leading to tenure.

Salary:  According to the salary scale in force on 1 st May 2022 for an Assistant or Associate Professor or Assistant Professor or Associate (salary scale for assistant professor or assistant professor starts at $ 88,735).

Bilingualism
