Publicado hace 7 meses

A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is open in Dr. Miriam Kim’s Lab in the Department of Medicine, Division of Oncology, Center for Gene and Cellular Immunotherapy at Washington University School of Medicine. Our lab works at the interface of immune cells within the hematopoietic system with the goal of mobilizing these to safely and effectively attack cancer. We use a variety of techniques including in vitro cell culture, primary human and mouse immune cell isolation, lentiviral and retroviral gene transfer, CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, a variety of in vivo mouse models, and single-cell genomics to investigate the interactions of T cells and their immune environment. We ultimately aim to enhance long-term survival for human patients using cell and gene therapy approaches.

We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher interested in working on genetically modified hematopoietic stem cells and chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells for treatment of hematologic malignancies. The postdoctoral researcher will work with human and mouse hematopoietic stem cells to investigate how to best utilize these in the context of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and CAR T cell therapy. The candidate will have the opportunity to engage in research across a broad range of fields including stem cell biology, immunology, cancer biology, and cell and gene therapy according to their interests.
