La Commission de l’Union africaine a lancé le 25 mai 2020 le Programme Kofi Annan de leadership en santé mondiale des Centres africains de contrôle et de prévention des maladies (CDC Afrique) en partenariat avec la Fondation Kofi Annan, suite à son approbation par le Conseil d’administration du CDC Afrique en mars 2018.
Les boursiers admis au programme sont des professionnels de haut niveau de la santé publique des États membres de l’Union africaine qui contribueront et dirigeront la mise en œuvre d’un nouvel ordre de santé publique pour l’Afrique et, à leur tour, encadreront et développeront la prochaine génération de leaders de la santé publique pour le continent.
Alors que nous réfléchissons aux progrès remarquables de la bourse Kofi Annan pour le programme de leadership en santé mondiale, qui a permis à 39 boursiers de plus de 20 États membres de l’UA d’obtenir leur diplôme et d’en former actuellement 20 autres provenant de 14 États membres, nous avons été témoins de l’impact tangible de cette initiative visionnaire. Les anciens élèves du programme ont non seulement perfectionné leurs qualités de leadership, mais façonnent également activement l’avenir des soins de santé à travers l’Afrique. Avec certains programmes nationaux de premier plan, d’autres reproduisent des programmes de leadership dans leurs institutions et certains ont accédé à des postes ministériels, l’effet d’entraînement de ce programme de leadership est indéniable.
Les candidatures pour la 4ème cohorte du programme de bourses sont désormais ouvertes et la date limite de soumission est le 30 janvier 2024. Le CDC Afrique continue d’encourager la diversité des candidats issus des États membres de l’UA. La cohorte 4 sera témoin de l’introduction du volet Santé mentale, c’est pourquoi les professionnels publics de la santé mentale sont encouragés à postuler. En outre, le personnel occupant des postes de direction au sein des ministères gouvernementaux et des instituts nationaux de santé publique (INSP), en particulier les femmes, est également fortement encouragé à postuler.

The African Union Commission launched the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) – Kofi Annan Global Health Leadership Programme on 25 May 2020 in partnership with the Kofi Annan Foundation, following its approval by the Governing Board of Africa CDC in March 2018.
Fellows admitted in the programme are senior public health professionals from African Union Member States who will contribute to and lead the implementation of a new public health order for Africa, and in turn mentor and develop the next generation of public health leaders for the continent.
As we reflect on the remarkable progress of the Kofi Annan Fellowship in Global Health Leadership Programme, having graduated 39 Fellows from over 20 AU Member States and currently training 20 more from 14 Member States, we have witnessed the tangible impact of this visionary initiative. The programme’s alumni have not only honed their leadership qualities but are also actively shaping the future of healthcare across Africa. With some leading national programmes, others are replicating leadership programmes in their institutions, and some have taken up Government Ministerial positions, the ripple effect of this leadership program is undeniable.
Application for the 4th Cohort of the Fellowship programme is now open and the deadline for submission is 30th January, 2024. Africa CDC continue to encourage diversity of applicantions from across the AU Member States. Cohort 4 will witness the introduction of Mental Health track, therefore Public Mental Health Professionals are encouraged to apply. In addition, staff in senior positions within Government Ministries and National Public Health Institutes (NPHIs) especially women are also strongly encouraged to apply.

أطلقت مفوضية الاتحاد الأفريقي برنامج المراكز الأفريقية لمكافحة الأمراض والوقاية منها (Africa CDC) – كوفي عنان للقيادة الصحية العالمية في 25 مايو 2020 بالشراكة مع مؤسسة كوفي عنان، بعد موافقة مجلس إدارة المراكز الأفريقية لمكافحة الأمراض والوقاية منها في مارس 2018.
الزملاء المقبولون في البرنامج هم من كبار المتخصصين في مجال الصحة العامة من الدول الأعضاء في الاتحاد الأفريقي الذين سيساهمون ويقودون تنفيذ نظام جديد للصحة العامة في أفريقيا، ويقومون بدورهم بتوجيه وتطوير الجيل القادم من قادة الصحة العامة في القارة.
وبينما نفكر في التقدم الملحوظ الذي أحرزته زمالة كوفي عنان في برنامج القيادة في مجال الصحة العالمية، حيث تم تخريج 39 زميلًا من أكثر من 20 دولة عضوًا في الاتحاد الأفريقي وتدريب 20 آخرين حاليًا من 14 دولة عضوًا، فقد شهدنا التأثير الملموس لهذه المبادرة الحكيمة. ولم يقم خريجو البرنامج بصقل صفاتهم القيادية فحسب، بل قاموا أيضًا بتشكيل مستقبل الرعاية الصحية في جميع أنحاء أفريقيا. ومع وجود بعض البرامج الوطنية الرائدة، يقوم البعض الآخر بتكرار برامج القيادة في مؤسساتهم، وقد تولى البعض مناصب وزارية حكومية، ولا يمكن إنكار التأثير المضاعف لبرنامج القيادة هذا.
باب التقديم للفوج الرابع من برنامج الزمالة مفتوح الآن والموعد النهائي للتقديم هو 30 يناير 2024. يواصل مركز السيطرة على الأمراض في أفريقيا تشجيع تنوع المتقدمين من جميع أنحاء الدول الأعضاء في الاتحاد الأفريقي. ستشهد الدفعة الرابعة تقديم مسار الصحة العقلية، لذلك نشجع متخصصي الصحة العقلية العامة على التقديم. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، يتم أيضًا تشجيع الموظفين الذين يشغلون مناصب عليا داخل الوزارات الحكومية والمعاهد الوطنية للصحة العامة (NPHIs) وخاصة النساء بشدة على التقديم.
