The Department of Community Health Sciences, Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary and the O’Brien Institute for Public Health invite applications for a Contingent Term appointment at the Assistant Professor level with expertise in Health Policy. To be eligible, applicants must have been awarded a CIHR Health System Impact Embedded Early Career Research Award. The role allocates 60% of protected time for research within a health organization with the remaining 40% time for teaching and service activities within the University.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Social Policy and have completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Health Economics. Further, the ideal candidate will have academic qualifications commensurate with an appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor including a minimum of 15 publications, at least 1 competitive grant from CIHR as the PI, involvement in the CIHR funded ACT consortium, explicit knowledge translation activities within a healthcare system and experience teaching at least 1 undergraduate health policy course.
