The AnitaB.org Systers Pass It Rewards Program We honor Anita Borg’s desire to create a network of women technologists who help each other. The cash prize helps fund women in IT or projects that inspire and support girls and women to get into IT. We encourage recipients to “pass on” the benefits they receive from the award, creating a women’s movement helping women.
These awards are funded by generous donations from Systers, our online community founded by Anita Borg in 1987 and other members of the community.

Any woman over the age of 18 can apply, even if she must be in or aspiring to be in the IT fields. Rewards range up to $ 1,000.
We encourage applications covering a variety of needs and projects, including:
- Assistance with studies, job transfers or other transitions in life
- A larger project that benefits girls and women
- Projects to encourage more girls and women to get into IT
- Assistance with educational costs and materials
- Partial funding source for a larger grant
- Partial funding source for technical conferences
- Mentorship and other support groups for women in technology or computer science
Applications are open until March 26.
