A research grant is offered each year for the Trinity Term period (8 weeks from April 25 to June 19, 2022, with possible extension to 3 months) at the Maison française d’Oxford, in the history of science, medicine and techniques.
Applications are open for 2022. Candidates can send their research project (1000 words, CV in French and English) before July 1, 2021 to the History of Science Committee of the Maison Française d’Oxford ( secretary @ mfo.ac.uk ). Researchers and teachers can apply. Candidates must attest to the importance of their presence at Oxford to carry out their project (university resources, collaborative projects with Oxford researchers, etc.). The Visiting Fellow will take an active part in the research program and scientific events of the Maison Française during the Term, in collaboration with the Oxford Center for the History of Science, Medicine and Technology (https://www.hsmt.ox.ac.uk/home#/ ).
During his / her stay, he / she will present his research during a seminar session at the Center and give a public conference within the Maison Française. In the six months which follow his / her stay, he / she will have to report a scientific production (article, paper to be published, etc.) resulting from his stay at the French House, which will be published in an open access database linked to the CNRS (HAL for example). During his / her stay, the Visiting Fellow will benefit from free accommodation at the Maison Française, a workspace and access to the libraries of the University of Oxford, as well as affiliation to Wolfson College .
