A number of online learning master’s scholarships are available for the 2020-2021 academic year.
Price
Each scholarship will have a total value of £ 1,000, which will be deducted from the annual tuition fees for part-time study programs of successful applicants. Successful applicants who receive the award during their first year of study may reapply for a scholarship for each subsequent year of study, but availability will be subject to adoption by new first-year applicants.
Eligibility
Scholarships will be awarded to students who are accepted for admission to the MSc Online Learning in Primary Care Ophthalmology and the ChM in Clinical Ophthalmology at the University of Edinburgh. Applicants should already have been offered a place at the University of Edinburgh and should have firmly accepted or intended to do so.
Applicants must be:
- medical or surgical trainees registered with the General Medical Council and working in a training program recognized in the NHS, or
- other health professionals involved in the provision of eye care in the NHS (e.g., community and hospital optometrists, orthoptists, ophthalmic nurses, ophthalmic science practitioners and other ophthalmic paramedical professionals)
Criteria
The scholarship will be awarded largely on the basis of academic merit and evidence of engagement in a career in medical or surgical ophthalmology and / or in the eye care profession chosen by the candidate.

- Complete an EUCLID online application for the MSc in Primary Care Ophthalmology or the ChM (Master of Surgery) in Clinical Ophthalmology – instructions on the full application process can be found on the University’s diploma search pages for the MSc PCO and ChM CO . Wait for the decision on the request via EUCLID.
- Fill Sanders scholarship application form in ophthalmology from here the 1st June 2020 .
The medjouel.com team informs you that if your scholarship request is accepted, you must meet all of the University’s eligibility criteria for an unconditional offer of a place in the MSc in Ophthalmology of Primary Care or in the ChM in clinical ophthalmology, which must also be accepted.
