king Abdul Aziz prize in scientific researches about children and development issues in the Arabic region

Based on the vision and strategic direction of the Arab Council for Childhood and Development, his Royal Highness Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Talal Bin Abdul Aziz, President of the Council, launched the second session of the award entitled “the empowerment of the Arab Child in the age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution”.

The research presented to the award at its second session on “the empowerment of the Arab Child in the age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution” addresses the following themes, within the framework of the Council’s efforts to raise the child according to the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution:

1-Children and develop the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (triangular knowledge, values, and skills).

2- measuring and evaluating children’s readiness for the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (triangular knowledge, values, and skills).

3- enabling the teacher to fulfill the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and making it operational in the educational process.

4- measuring and building enabling environments of institutions for the upbringing of children in the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution:

A) Family

B) School

C) Media and Culture

D) Civil Society organizations

Art as an input for the development of creativity in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

6- Educational curricula and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

7- The empowerment of children with disabilities in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

8- Children, creativity, rational monetary thinking, and scientific thinking in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

9- The cultural components of society and the Arab mind and their impact on children in the age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

10- Biotechnology (health and food for children) in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

  • Second-cycle research targets: The use of this research is achieved through the provision of an applied knowledge structure that helps decision-makers and nurturing institutions in the Arab countries to develop visions and mechanisms to enable the Arab child to deal with the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution; as a cosmic awareness revolution, the prize aims at:- Applied research on integrating the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution into society and educational material to help children enjoy life and make them more informed.- applied research on the optimal use of ICT and modern social media to enable the flow of knowledge to the learner anywhere, from all knowledge production centers in the world.- Applied research on enabling environments (family, school, media, civil society).

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria)

  1. The prize is given to individuals who are citizens of Arab countries and not to institutions.
  2. The researcher/researchers can only submit one research in the same cycle.
  3. The prize is not awarded in two consecutive cycles for the same researcher/researcher.
  4. Research, ideas, and content is the responsibility of the researchers.
  5. The prize management is not committed to re-researching whether it wins or not.
  6. The research received after the deadline for the submission of research is not considered.
  7. Researcher/researchers are not entitled to object to or view the arbitration results.
  8. Researchers should follow the scientific writing and documentation rules.
  9. Research should adhere to scientific methodology.
  10. The research provided is not directly or indirectly derived from a scientific message.
  11. Research has not been awarded or other scientific degrees.
  12. Your search has not been published previously.
  13. The search for at least (7500) words.
  14. The research should include recommendations for scientific and practical use.
  15. The researcher/researchers name and search address are listed on the cover page and are not included in the search in any way to ensure the confidentiality of the arbitration.
  16. The search title is listed on the first page of the search as well as the cover page with the name of the investigator/researcher.

Opportunity Cost

(Award)

The King Abdul Aziz Award for Scientific Research in Children and Development in the Arab World at its second session grants three prizes to be distributed as follows:

The first prize: 5000$

The second prize: 4000$

The third prize: 3000$

 – In addition to a certificate of recognition delivered at an official ceremony held at the final ceremony of the award.

-The good research is published (non-winner) for a financial reward of $500 per research, not exceeding 10 research.

-A special prize may be awarded for the award by the Scientific Committee.

The researcher/researchers will send research only to the Department of the award by means of registered mail with the flag of arrival or quick mail or hand-delivered by June 30, 2020, at the following address:

 1- A completed copy of the nomination card (attached).

2- Five hard copies of the research presented for the award and an electronic word copy loaded on Flash Memory.

3- An executive summary of the research.

4- A printed copy of the applicant’s curriculum vitae, including a color photograph of the candidate, with an electronic copy of the word, loaded on the same Flash Memory.

5- A copy of the national ID or passport.

6- A declaration that the research has not been previously published or presented in a conference or symposium, or that it has received another award, and is not derived from a scientific thesis.

7- A declaration of acceptance of the prize if it is awarded.

 8- A letter of recommendation is preferred by the employer, two professors or a legal entity.

 9- Candidate’s mailing address, telephone number, and e-mail address.
