Algerian Minister of Higher Education described the level of university professors as “zero”

The Minister of Higher Education, Chems Eddine Chitour, described the level of Algerian university professors as “zero”. A statement that aroused anger and indignation among teachers who called for protest rallies and a strike, in protest.

The reaction of those concerned was quick to follow. Through a press release made public by the Higher Council for Higher Education , the teachers, scandalized, see in the declarations of the Minister of Higher Education “an insult” to their profession.

The CNES informs, moreover, that an emergency council will be held next Monday at the union headquarters in Ben Aknoun, in Algiers , as a protest against the minister’s “slippage”, we read in the same document.
