The recruitment of such an individual will align with clinical needs within the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, where the burden of liver disease is significant. In addition, medical education skills with a focus in knowledge translation is important.
An individual with this academic profile will align strongly with the strategic research priorities of the Snyder Institute for Chronic Diseases within the Cumming School of Medicine and the Institute’s inflammation and host-pathogen interaction theme areas, and more broadly with the University of Calgary’s university-wide strategic research plan.
