L'objectif de ce projet de recherche est d'étudier la réorganisation corticale d'enfants atteints de surdité unilatérale (SSD) suite à une intervention avec un implant cochléaire (SSD-CI), par rapport à un groupe d'enfants atteints de SSD mais non équipés d'IC (SSD- noCI) et un groupe d'enfants ayant une audition normale. La SSD affecte de manière significative la symétrie corticale, car elle entraîne une représentation dominante accrue de l'oreille normale par rapport à l'oreille sourde. La recherche montre qu'une intervention précoce chez les enfants atteints de SSD peut restaurer les représentations hémisphériques de l'entrée auditive bilatérale dans le cortex auditif. À l'aide de mesures objectives basées sur l'EEG, nous étudierons la restauration binaurale aux niveaux sous-cortical et cortical de la voie auditive chez les enfants de quatre ans et plus.

The goal of this research project is to investigate the cortical reorganization of children with single sided deafness (SSD) following intervention with a cochlear implant (SSD-CI), compared to a group of children with SSD but not fitted with a CI (SSD-noCI) and a group of children with normal hearing. SSD significantly affects cortical symmetry, as it results in an increased dominant representation of the normal ear compared to the deaf ear. Research shows that early intervention in children with SSD can restore the hemispheric representations of bilateral auditory input in the auditory cortex. Using EEG-based objective measures, we will investigate the binaural restoration at the subcortical and cortical level of the auditory pathway in children who are four years and older. Neural activity captured by the multi-channel EEG will be used to construct functional network models of cortical processes.

Découvrez l'impact de l'innovation technologique sur la conception des circuits sans fil
Le déploiement des systèmes radio 5G et 6G à ondes millimétriques pousse plus loin que jamais les exigences en matière de performances des appareils. En effet, l'obtention d'un rendement très élevé à des fréquences millimétriques est essentielle pour une telle application. Alors que les technologies de semi-conducteurs composés promettent d'atteindre ces objectifs, leur fabrication à faible coût sur une plate-forme compatible CMOS reste un défi. L'innovation est nécessaire pour concevoir des transistors III-V/N hautes performances compatibles avec la ligne de fabrication Si. De plus, il est important d'étudier l'impact des nouveaux éléments du dispositif au niveau du circuit afin d'optimiser la plate-forme technologique.
Dans ce postdoc, vous allez concevoir de nouveaux transistors III-V/N et les modéliser soigneusement pour fonctionner à des ondes millimétriques en grand signal. Vous effectuerez une caractérisation RF non linéaire avancée pour alimenter les modèles et les valider expérimentalement. Vous utiliserez les modèles pour simuler des circuits mmWave (par exemple des amplificateurs de puissance) et co-optimiser la technologie et le circuit.

The deployment of millimeter-wave 5G and 6G radio systems pushes the requirements on device performance further than ever. Indeed, achieving very high-power efficiency at mmWave frequencies is critical for such application. While compound semiconductors technologies promise to meet these goals, their low-cost fabrication on a CMOS compatible platform remains challenging. Innovation is needed to design high-performant III-V/N transistors compatible with Si fabrication line. Furthermore, it is important to study the impact of new device elements at circuit level in order to optimize the technology platform.
In this postdoc, you will design new III-V/N transistors and carefully model them to operate at mmWaves in large-signal. You will perform advanced nonlinear RF characterization to feed the models and to validate them experimentally. You will use the models to simulate mmWave circuits (eg power amplifiers) and co-optimize the technology and circuit.

La Fondation pour la mémoire de l’esclavage décerne depuis 2005, un prix annuel de 7000 euros, qui récompense une thèse en sciences sociales et en humanités. Créé par le Comité national pour la mémoire de l'esclavage CNMHE, ce prix récompense une thèse dans les disciplines suscitées, dont le sujet porte sur l’histoire de la traite, de l’esclavage et des abolitions à l’époque coloniale ou sur ses conséquences dans le monde actuel. La date limite de dépôt de candidature a été prorogée au 20 février 2022.
Le prix est attribué par la Fondation pour la Mémoire de l’esclavage, sur décision d’un jury composé au sein du Conseil scientifique de la Fondation. La dotation du prix est de 7 000 €, en partie conditionnée à l’édition de la thèse.

The Foundation for the Memory of Slavery has been awarding since 2005 an annual prize of 7000 euros, which rewards a thesis in social sciences and humanities. Created by the National Committee for the Memory of Slavery CNMHE, this prize rewards a thesis in the aforementioned disciplines, the subject of which relates to the history of the slave trade, slavery and abolitions in the colonial era or to its consequences in today's world. The deadline for submitting applications has been extended to February 20, 2022.
The prize is awarded by the Foundation for the Memory of Slavery , on the decision of a jury composed within the Scientific Council of the Foundation . The prize money is €7,000, partly dependent on the publication of the thesis.

La Fundación por la Memoria de la Esclavitud otorga desde 2005 un premio anual de 7000 euros, que premia una tesis en ciencias sociales y humanidades. Creado por el Comité Nacional por la Memoria de la Esclavitud CNMHE, este premio premia una tesis en las disciplinas mencionadas, cuyo tema se relacione con la historia de la trata de esclavos, la esclavitud y las aboliciones en la época colonial o con sus consecuencias en el mundo actual. Les principales activités du poste sont réparties entre l'enseignement (y compris l'encadrement des mémoires de maîtrise des étudiants) et la recherche, chacune pendant environ la moitié du temps. En outre, le candidat sera amené à participer à des responsabilités administratives liées au fonctionnement habituel de l'Ecole de Santé Publique (jurys, délibérations, commissions internes) et du Pôle Santé. The ULB opens a position for a full-time academic in occupational medicine
The main activities of the position are divided into teaching (including the supervision of student master theses) and research, each for approximately half of the time. In addition, the candidate will be expected to participate in administrative responsibilities related to the usual functioning of the School of Public Health (juries, deliberations, internal commissions) and the Health Pole. He/she will also contribute to the visibility and strengthening of the School's position in national and international expertise in occupational medicine, occupational health and public health.

La ULB abre plaza para académico de tiempo completo en medicina del trabajo
Las principales actividades del puesto se dividen en docencia (incluida la supervisión de tesis de maestría de los estudiantes) e investigación, cada una durante aproximadamente la mitad del tiempo. Además, se espera que el candidato participe en responsabilidades administrativas relacionadas con el funcionamiento habitual de la Escuela de Salud Pública (jurados, deliberaciones, comisiones internas) y el Polo de Salud. También contribuirá a la visibilidad y fortalecimiento de la posición de la Escuela en la experiencia nacional e internacional en medicina del trabajo, salud ocupacional y salud pública.
Se le pedirá que lleve a cabo una investigación de alto nivel. Estos desarrollos serán facilitados por alianzas con otros centros de investigación de la Escuela de Salud Pública, el Polo de Salud, otras facultades de la universidad, así como con otras instituciones nacionales e internacionales.
Áreas de investigación:
Las actividades de investigación que desarrollará el titular serán principalmente en los campos de la salud ocupacional, la salud pública, la medicina preventiva y la salud ambiental. Estas actividades de investigación están más particularmente vinculadas al Centro de Investigación en Salud Ambiental y Laboral.
Objetivos educativos y científicos:
Los cursos a impartir forman parte de la Maestría de Especialización en Medicina del Trabajo, la Licenciatura en Medicina y la Maestría en Ciencias de la Salud Pública.
En su actividad docente deberá demostrar competencias pedagógicas acordes con la adquisición por parte de los estudiantes de competencias teóricas y aplicadas en medicina del trabajo. Le contexte
Le projet CyberExcellence a débuté en janvier 2022. Il vise à positionner la Wallonie comme un acteur majeur de la cybersécurité sur la carte nationale et internationale en développant un cadre de base permettant la mise en œuvre de solutions basées sur une cybersécurité pratique et réfléchie avec un avantage concurrentiel.
Parmi les différents axes abordés par le projet, l'Axe 1 vise à sécuriser le système avant son déploiement via des approches de test. Ces approches s'appuieront sur des techniques issues de l'intelligence artificielle afin, d'une part, de prédire les cas de test intéressants à partir de la connaissance du système, de son historique et des composants externes utilisés et, d'autre part, d'explorer efficacement les espace d'états possibles pour trouver de nouveaux cas de test intéressants. Par exemple, des algorithmes de machine learning pour détecter d'éventuelles failles et vulnérabilités du code source, son évolution et les API utilisées, et des algorithmes évolutifs pour générer des tests et des données de test (algorithmes de test basés sur la recherche, fuzzing, etc.). Ces actions peuvent être menées en collaboration avec le projet ARIAC Intelligence Artificielle financé par la Région wallonne.

It aims to position Wallonia as a major player in cybersecurity on the national and international map by developing a core framework allowing the implementation of solutions based on practical and thoughtful cybersecurity with a competitive advantage.
Among the different axes addressed by the project, Axis 1 aims to secure the system before its deployment through testing approaches. These approaches will be based on techniques derived from artificial intelligence in order, on the one hand, to predict the interesting test cases based on knowledge of the system, its history and the external components used and, on the other hand, to efficiently explore the space of possible states to find interesting new test cases. For example, machine learning algorithms to detect potential flaws and vulnerabilities from the source code, its evolution and the APIs used, and evolutionary algorithms to generate tests and test data (search-based testing algorithms, fuzzing, etc.). These actions can be carried out in collaboration with the ARIAC Artificial Intelligence project funded by the Walloon region. Results will be produced for the two broad classes of cybersecurity testing, (1) cybersecurity functional testing and (2) penetration testing.

The position is a 2-years (renewable) contract, funded by the CyberExcellence project. The person hired will join the SNAIL team (https://snail.info.unamur.be) and be actively involved in research leading to a doctoral thesis within the Namur Digital Institute (https://nadi.unamur.be). Contexto
El proyecto CyberExcellence comenzó en enero de 2022. Su objetivo es posicionar a Valonia como un jugador importante en ciberseguridad en el mapa nacional e internacional mediante el desarrollo de un marco central que permita la implementación de soluciones basadas en una ciberseguridad práctica y reflexiva con una ventaja competitiva.
Entre los diferentes ejes abordados por el proyecto, el Eje 1 tiene como objetivo asegurar el sistema antes de su implementación a través de enfoques de prueba. Estos enfoques se basarán en técnicas derivadas de la inteligencia artificial para, por un lado, predecir los casos de prueba interesantes a partir del conocimiento del sistema, su historia y los componentes externos utilizados y, por otro lado, explorar de manera eficiente el espacio de estados posibles para encontrar nuevos casos de prueba interesantes. Por ejemplo, algoritmos de aprendizaje automático para detectar posibles fallas y vulnerabilidades a partir del código fuente, su evolución y las API utilizadas, y algoritmos evolutivos para generar pruebas y datos de prueba (algoritmos de prueba basados en búsqueda, fuzzing, etc.). Estas acciones se pueden llevar a cabo en colaboración con el proyecto de Inteligencia Artificial ARIAC financiado por la región valona.

Kontext
Das CyberExcellence-Projekt startete im Januar 2022. Es zielt darauf ab, Wallonien als einen wichtigen Akteur in der Cybersicherheit auf der nationalen und internationalen Karte zu positionieren, indem es einen Kernrahmen entwickelt, der die Implementierung von Lösungen ermöglicht, die auf praktischer und durchdachter Cybersicherheit mit einem Wettbewerbsvorteil basieren.
Unter den verschiedenen vom Projekt angesprochenen Achsen zielt Achse 1 darauf ab, das System vor seinem Einsatz durch Testansätze zu sichern. Diese Ansätze werden auf Techniken der künstlichen Intelligenz basieren, um einerseits die interessanten Testfälle basierend auf der Kenntnis des Systems, seiner Historie und der verwendeten externen Komponenten vorherzusagen und andererseits effizient zu erforschen Raum möglicher Zustände, um interessante neue Testfälle zu finden. Nous recherchons un doctorant motivé et intéressé par l'écologie, les sciences de l'environnement, les mathématiques et les données géospatiales. Ce sera votre rôle :
développer et analyser des modèles spatiaux universels d'écosystèmes de savane ;
analyser l'observation des modèles spatiaux dans les écosystèmes de savane liés au contournement des points de basculement.
Nous recherchons un doctorant motivé et intéressé par les mathématiques, la physique, l'écologie et les sciences de l'environnement. Ce sera votre rôle :
étudier le mécanisme par lequel le basculement peut être évité dans les modèles écosystémiques ;

The PhD projects are part of the research project Resilience in complex systems through adaptive spatial pattern formation financed by the Dutch Research Council NWO. It is a collaboration between Utrecht University and Leiden University. There will be two PhD projects, one at Utrecht University and one at Leiden University. The PhD projects are strongly intertwined and the Utrecht and Leiden groups will be interacting intensely. The overall objective is to investigate and validate conditions for which tipping points will be circumvented through spatial pattern formation in ecosystems classically viewed as prone to critical transitions. A project description is available. The central research questions are:
When does the classical non-spatial framework of tipping points breaks down and needs to be supplemented by the theory of spatial pattern formation?
For which ecosystems and earth systems is this valid, including the planet as a whole?
Under which conditions and for which spatial scales is this the case?
We are looking for a self-motivated PhD candidate interested in ecology, environmental sciences, mathematics and geospatial data. It will be your role:
to develop and analyze universal spatial savanna ecosystem models;
to analyze observation of spatial patterns in savanna ecosystems related to circumvention of tipping points.

Los proyectos de doctorado forman parte del proyecto de investigación Resiliencia en sistemas complejos a través de la formación de patrones espaciales adaptativos financiado por el Consejo de Investigación holandés NWO. Es una colaboración entre la Universidad de Utrecht y la Universidad de Leiden. Habrá dos proyectos de doctorado, uno en la Universidad de Utrecht y otro en la Universidad de Leiden. Estamos buscando un candidato a doctorado motivado por sí mismo interesado en matemáticas, física, ecología y ciencias ambientales. Será tu papel:
investigar el mecanismo por el cual se pueden evadir las propinas en los modelos de ecosistemas;
estudiar el impacto de las heterogeneidades (inducidas por humanos) en estos mecanismos.
Tiene una maestría en Ciencias Ambientales, Ecología, Ciencias de la Tierra, Matemáticas, Física o un campo estrechamente relacionado. Le interesan la ecología y los sistemas de reacción-difusión. Eres comunicativo, capaz de trabajar en un equipo multidisciplinario de científicos y capaz de demostrar dominio del idioma inglés.
Se le ofrecerá un puesto temporal (1.0 FTE), inicialmente por un año con una extensión a un total de cuatro años después de una evaluación exitosa en el primer año, y con la intención específica de que resulte en un doctorado dentro de este período. El salario bruto oscila entre 2.434 € en el primer año y 3.111 € en el cuarto año de empleo (escala P según el Convenio Colectivo de Trabajo de las Universidades Holandesas) por mes para un empleo a tiempo completo. Los salarios se complementan con un bono de vacaciones del 8% y un bono de fin de año del 8,3% anual. Die PhD-Projekte sind Teil des Forschungsprojekts Resilienz in komplexen Systemen durch adaptive räumliche Musterbildung, das vom niederländischen Forschungsrat NWO finanziert wird. Es ist eine Zusammenarbeit zwischen der Universität Utrecht und der Universität Leiden. Es wird zwei PhD-Projekte geben, eines an der Universität Utrecht und eines an der Universität Leiden. Die PhD-Projekte sind stark miteinander verflochten und die Utrechter und Leidener Gruppen werden intensiv interagieren. Das übergeordnete Ziel besteht darin, Bedingungen zu untersuchen und zu validieren, unter denen Kipppunkte durch räumliche Musterbildung in Ökosystemen umgangen werden, die klassischerweise als anfällig für kritische Übergänge angesehen werden. Für welche Ökosysteme und Erdsysteme gilt dies, einschließlich des Planeten als Ganzes?
Unter welchen Bedingungen und für welche räumlichen Skalen ist dies der Fall?
Wir suchen einen selbstmotivierten Doktoranden mit Interesse an Ökologie, Umweltwissenschaften, Mathematik und Geodaten. Es wird Ihre Rolle sein:
universelle räumliche Savannen-Ökosystemmodelle zu entwickeln und zu analysieren;
um die Beobachtung von räumlichen Mustern in Savannenökosystemen im Zusammenhang mit der Umgehung von Kipppunkten zu analysieren.
Wir suchen einen selbstmotivierten Doktoranden mit Interesse an Mathematik, Physik, Ökologie und Umweltwissenschaften. Es wird Ihre Rolle sein:
den Mechanismus zu untersuchen, durch den Kippen in Ökosystemmodellen umgangen werden kann;
den Einfluss von (vom Menschen verursachten) Heterogenitäten auf diese Mechanismen zu untersuchen.
Sie haben einen M.Sc.-Abschluss in Umweltwissenschaften, Ökologie, Geowissenschaften, Mathematik, Physik oder einem eng verwandten Fachgebiet. Sie interessieren sich für Ökologie sowie Reaktions-Diffusions-Systeme. Sie sind kommunikativ, können in einem multidisziplinären Team von Wissenschaftlern arbeiten und verfügen über gute Englischkenntnisse.
Ihnen wird eine befristete Stelle (1,0 VZÄ) angeboten, zunächst für ein Jahr mit Verlängerung auf insgesamt vier Jahre nach erfolgreicher Begutachtung im ersten Jahr und mit der konkreten Absicht, innerhalb dieser Frist zu promovieren. Das Bruttogehalt liegt bei einer Vollzeitbeschäftigung zwischen 2.434 € im ersten und 3.111 € im vierten Beschäftigungsjahr (Stufe P gemäß Tarifvertrag der niederländischen Universitäten) pro Monat. Das Gehalt wird ergänzt durch ein Urlaubsgeld von 8 % und ein Jahresendgeld von 8,3 % pro Jahr. Le Conseil européen de la recherche finance des chercheurs créatifs de toute nationalité et de tout âge, pour mener des projets basés dans toute l'Europe. L'ERC propose quatre programmes de subventions de base : les subventions de démarrage, les subventions de consolidation, les subventions avancées et les subventions de synergie. Avec son programme supplémentaire de bourses Proof of Concept, l'ERC aide les bénéficiaires à combler le fossé entre leur recherche pionnière et les premières phases de sa commercialisation. Did you know this about the ERC?
The European Research Council funds creative researchers of any nationality and age, to run projects based across Europe. The ERC offers four core grant schemes: Starting Grants, Consolidator Grants, Advanced Grants and Synergy Grants. With its additional Proof of Concept Grant scheme, the ERC helps grantees to bridge the gap between their pioneering research and early phases of its commercialization. Researchers from anywhere in the world can apply for ERC grants provided the research they undertake will be carried out in an EU Member State or Associated Country. If you are moving to Europe (EU Member State or Associated Country), you can apply for additional funding, which can total up to €2.5 million for a Starting Grant, €3 million for a Consolidator Grant and €3.5 million for an Advanced Grant.
What type of projects does the ERC fund?
Research projects funded by the ERC can last up to five years and can cover frontier research in any scientific domain, including social sciences, humanities and interdisciplinary studies. Der Europäische Forschungsrat finanziert kreative Forscher jeder Nationalität und jeden Alters, um Projekte in ganz Europa durchzuführen. Der ERC bietet vier zentrale Förderprogramme an: Starting Grants, Consolidator Grants, Advanced Grants und Synergy Grants. Mit seinem zusätzlichen Proof-of-Concept-Grant-Programm hilft der ERC den Stipendiaten, die Lücke zwischen ihrer bahnbrechenden Forschung und den frühen Phasen ihrer Kommerzialisierung zu schließen. L'École des sciences et de la technologie de l'Université d'Örebro recherche jusqu'à deux chercheurs postdoctoraux en informatique pour un contrat à durée déterminée de 2 ans.
Les chercheurs seront basés au Centre pour les systèmes de capteurs autonomes appliqués de l'Université d'Örebro (AASS, http://www.oru.se/aass ), qui mène des recherches multidisciplinaires à l'intersection de la robotique, de l'apprentissage automatique, de l'intelligence artificielle, vision par ordinateur, informatique et technologie de mesure. Nous sollicitons des candidatures pour le poste de chercheur postdoctoral sur le thème de la modélisation informatique du développement du langage chez l'enfant. Le poste est associé à un projet intitulé « Modeling Child Language Development using Naturalistic Data at a Scale (L-SCALE) », où l'objectif est de développer de nouvelles pratiques pour la formation et l'évaluation de modèles informatiques d'apprentissage du langage infantile à l'aide de données infantiles réalistes. Ces données peuvent inclure des enregistrements audio de longue durée centrés sur l'enfant, des transcriptions d'interaction nourrisson-soignant et des méta-analyses menées à travers une gamme d'expériences comportementales. Exigences
Le candidat doit être titulaire d'un doctorat (par exemple, PhD ou D.Sc.) en technologie du langage, en psycholinguistique, en sciences cognitives, en informatique ou dans un autre domaine pertinent.

Speech and Cognition research group (SPECOG) is part of Computing Sciences Unit of Tampere University within the Faculty of Information Technology and Communication Sciences. SPECOG focuses on interdisciplinary research at the intersection of speech and language technology and cognitive sciences. We combine advanced signal processing and machine learning methods with realistic large-scale infant data to the study of child language development, but we also investigate how human-like information processing principles can be applied in autonomous next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) systems. The group also conducts research and development in speech and language technology and in machine learning for medical signal analysis. SPECOG collaborates with several internationally leading research groups within and across disciplinary boundaries, including joint research with psychologists, linguists, phoneticians, and computer scientists.
Job description
We are inviting applications for the position of a postdoctoral research fellow on the topic of computational modelling of child language development. The position is associated with a project titled “Modeling Child Language Development using Naturalistic Data at a Scale (L-SCALE)”, where the aim is to develop new practices to training and evaluation of computational models of infant language learning using realistic infant data. These data may include long-form child-centred audio recordings, infant-caregiver interaction transcripts, and meta-analyses conducted across a range of behavioural experiments. While the job is located in Finland, the project has a notable emphasis on international collaboration with key partners in Europe and North America.
The work will be conducted as a member of the SPECOG research group led by Dr. Okko Räsänen. We are looking for candidates who are interested in human and/or machine language processing, and who are willing to contribute to our cross-disciplinary research efforts in understanding language learning in humans through computational means.
In this position, the candidate is expected to:
1) carry out high-quality research on computational modelling of early language development, particularly working on ecologically relevant model training and evaluation protocols using large-scale infant data as a resource, 2) work in close collaboration with other members of the research group, including 1–2 PhD students working on connected topics, and 3) advise undergraduate/graduate research projects and participate to teaching in your field of expertise (up to a total of 15% of annual working time and subject to negotiation based on candidate's interests and career aspirations).
Requirements
The candidate should hold a doctoral degree (e.g., PhD or D.Sc.) in language technology, psycholinguistics, cognitive science, computer science, or other relevant area.
A successful candidate has strong expertise in a) speech and/or language technology or in b) child language research with quantitative methods (e.g., developmental psychology, psycholinguistics, cognitive science). Fluent programming (Python, Matlab, R, or similar) and English skills are required. Strong motivation towards understanding the underpinnings of human language learning and processing is a must. Experience from computational modelling, natural language processing, or use of meta-analysis in research are considered as an advantage.
Potential candidates must be capable of carrying out independent academic research at the highest international level. Competence must be demonstrated through several existing publications in internationally recognised peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
Candidates should also have teaching/advising skills required to successfully perform the duties and functions of the position, or have interest towards developing their supervisory and pedagogical skills.

The position will be filled for a fixed-term period of 3 years. Starting date is negotiable, but should not be later than October 2022. A trial period of 6 months is applied to all new employees.
The funding of the position consists of a personal grant and a part-time salary that are comparable to a regular salary of 3500–3600€/month for starting postdocs. A higher salary based on existing postdoctoral experience and merits is negotiable. The position also includes possibilities for short-term researcher mobility to other international research labs. Traveling costs to presenting peer-reviewed work in major international conferences are covered by default. Diese Daten können lange kindzentrierte Audioaufnahmen, Transkripte der Interaktion zwischen Säugling und Bezugsperson und Metaanalysen umfassen, die über eine Reihe von Verhaltensexperimenten hinweg durchgeführt wurden. Während der Arbeitsplatz in Finnland angesiedelt ist, legt das Projekt einen bemerkenswerten Schwerpunkt auf die internationale Zusammenarbeit mit wichtigen Partnern in Europa und Nordamerika.
Die Arbeiten werden als Mitglied der SPECOG-Forschungsgruppe unter der Leitung von Dr. Okko Räsänen durchgeführt. Wir suchen Kandidaten, die sich für die Verarbeitung menschlicher und/oder maschineller Sprache interessieren und bereit sind, zu unseren interdisziplinären Forschungsbemühungen zum Verständnis des Sprachlernens beim Menschen durch Computermittel beizutragen.
In dieser Position wird von dem Kandidaten erwartet:
1) qualitativ hochwertige Forschung zur computergestützten Modellierung der frühen Sprachentwicklung durchführen, insbesondere die Arbeit an ökologisch relevanten Modelltrainings- und Bewertungsprotokollen unter Verwendung umfangreicher Säuglingsdaten als Ressource, 2) in enger Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Mitgliedern der Forschungsgruppe arbeiten, darunter 1–2 Doktoranden, die an verwandten Themen arbeiten, und 3) Forschungsprojekte für Bachelor-/Absolventen beraten und sich an der Lehre in Ihrem Fachgebiet beteiligen (bis zu insgesamt 15% der jährlichen Arbeitszeit und vorbehaltlich Verhandlungen basierend auf den Interessen des Kandidaten und Berufswünsche).
Anforderungen
Der Kandidat sollte einen Doktortitel (z. B. PhD oder D.Sc.) in Sprachtechnologie, Psycholinguistik, Kognitionswissenschaft, Informatik oder einem anderen relevanten Bereich besitzen.
Ein erfolgreicher Kandidat verfügt über ausgeprägte Expertise in a) Sprech- und/oder Sprachtechnologie oder in b) Kindersprachforschung mit quantitativen Methoden (zB Entwicklungspsychologie, Psycholinguistik, Kognitionswissenschaft). Fließende Programmierkenntnisse (Python, Matlab, R, o.ä.) und Englischkenntnisse sind erforderlich. Eine starke Motivation zum Verständnis der Grundlagen des Erlernens und Verarbeitens menschlicher Sprache ist ein Muss. Erfahrungen aus der Computermodellierung, der Verarbeitung natürlicher Sprache oder der Verwendung von Metaanalysen in der Forschung werden als Vorteil angesehen.
Potenzielle Kandidaten müssen in der Lage sein, unabhängige wissenschaftliche Forschung auf höchstem internationalem Niveau zu betreiben. Die Kompetenz muss durch mehrere bestehende Publikationen in international anerkannten Fachzeitschriften und Konferenzen nachgewiesen werden.
Die Kandidaten sollten auch über Lehr-/Beratungskompetenzen verfügen, die für die erfolgreiche Erfüllung der Pflichten und Funktionen der Position erforderlich sind, oder Interesse an der Entwicklung ihrer Aufsichts- und pädagogischen Fähigkeiten haben.
Wir bieten
Die Stelle wird befristet auf 3 Jahre besetzt. Das Eintrittsdatum ist verhandelbar, sollte aber nicht nach Oktober 2022 liegen. Für alle neuen Mitarbeiter gilt eine Probezeit von 6 Monaten.
Die Finanzierung der Stelle besteht aus einem persönlichen Stipendium und einem Teilzeitgehalt, das vergleichbar ist mit einem regulären Gehalt von 3500–3600€/Monat für beginnende Postdocs. Ein höheres Gehalt basierend auf vorhandener Postdoc-Erfahrung und Verdiensten ist verhandelbar. Die Stelle beinhaltet auch Möglichkeiten zur kurzfristigen Forschermobilität zu anderen internationalen Forschungslabors. Reisekosten zur Präsentation von Peer-Review-Arbeiten auf großen internationalen Konferenzen werden standardmäßig übernommen. Darüber hinaus bietet die Stelle umfangreiche Benefits wie betriebliche Gesundheitsvorsorge, Sportmöglichkeiten auf dem Campus, flexible Arbeitszeiten sowie mehrere Restaurants und Cafés auf dem Campus mit Mitarbeiterrabatt. Die Tätigkeit ist mit 1612 h Jahresarbeitszeit verbunden, was umgerechnet ca. 6 Wochen arbeitsfreie Tage im Jahr.
