Job description:
The group “Data-driven analysis of complex systems (DRACOS)” combines exploratory data analysis, physical modeling and machine learning methods to understand complex systems, such as the energy system.
You will support this understanding in the following ways:
- Development and application of machine learning techniques to understand complex energy system. In particular, you will focus on at least one of these topics: deterministic and probabilistic forecasts, optimization, reinforcement learning or inverse problems
- Interpretation of the results in an energy context, e.g. using XAI (explainable artificial intelligence), interpretable machine learning and glass-box approaches
- Publication of scientific results in international scientific journals and conferences
- Deployment of theoretical methods in the Energy Lab 2.0 to prepare the transfer of theory towards industrial applications
- Co-supervision of study, Bachelor and Master theses
- Support for other teaching activities
