Job Description
The Université de Hearst is seeking a French language instructor. This full-time position includes teaching 8 courses (3 credits each) per year, equivalent to 24 credits, in block format.
Courses include mandatory grammar and writing courses (such as LANG 1006 and LANG 1007) for undergraduate students in one of the three programs:

Business Administration and Management

Interdisciplinary Human and Social Sciences

Required Qualifications

Master’s or Ph.D. in a field such as:

French Didactics
-
French Literature
-
French Linguistics
-
Sociolinguistics
-
French Studies
-

Relevant teaching experience in French at the college or university level

Excellent command of the French language (oral and written) and good knowledge of English

Ability to teach interdisciplinary courses in human and social sciences if needed

Working Conditions

Teaching Load: 8 courses/year, distributed over fall, winter, and spring semesters

Contract: Full-time, 23-month term, with a possibility of tenure

Salary: Between $68,413 and $122,312 annually (as per the current collective agreement)

Class Size: Limited to 25 students per course

Travel between campuses may be required – a driver’s license and access to a vehicle are strongly recommended
