The mission of the Institute of Humanities is to develop and nurture, within the context of Global Humanities, interdisciplinary and transnational research that moves beyond conceived boundaries or divisions, and embraces the ever-changing new horizons. We welcome academics with an international vision and a commitment to excellence in research and teaching to join us at varying stages of their career advancement. We are especially interested in candidates who have expertise in one or more of the following areas: Philosophy, History, Literature, Political Science, US-China relations, and American Studies. Applicants should have a conferred Ph.D by time of appointment. In addition to a highly competitive salary, we provide generous research funding and extensive opportunities for global collaboration. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Teaching & Research Areas: Chinese Philosophy, Western Philosophy, Logic, Science Philosophy, Aesthetics, Ancient literature, modern literature, literary theory, comparative literature and world literature, Chinese writing, Chinese history, World history, Historical theory, Art history, English Language and Literature，French language and literature, German language and literature, Cultural Anthropology, Political Science and International Relations, especially Sino-US relations
