The Faculty of Law of the University of Basel is filling the position of a Professor of Public Law with a focus on Life Sciences Law from autumn 2023.
Teaching duties of 4 or 8 hours per week/semester
Research and Service
Participation in the University’s self-administration
The applicant has a track record in Public Law with a close connection to the Life Sciences (e.g. in Health Law, Data Law, or Technology Law). She or he is willing to represent Life Sciences Law in research and teaching. She or he knows Swiss law or is willing to familiarize herself or himself with it. Moreover, the applicant must be willing to collaborate across different areas of law and across disciplines within the faculty’s research focus on Life Sciences Law and to assume a leading role within the dedicated Center (Zentrum für Life Sciences-Recht, ZLSR). The position requires a good command of the German language.
The position will be filled according to the qualifications of the future post holder at the level of tenure-track Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor.
