Casa de Velázquez and the Madrid Institute for Advanced Study welcome two researchers Marie Skłodowska-Curie

Casa de Velázquez  and  the  Madrid Institute for Advanced Study  has ccueillent  news el ment  of them researchers  ary Sklodowska-Curie  Individual Fellowships,  Nicolas Simon (FNRS-University Louvain-La Neuve) ,  ince  2019 and Margarida Barroso (ISCTE -IUL) ,  ince  2020.  

As part of the MSCA Individual Fellowships call for applications, the Casa de Velázquez is once again offering to host, for one or two years, one or more experienced researchers in the humanities and social.

Interested candidates will not only have to comply with the formal requirements of the Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions, but will also have to register their research within the framework of the scientific policy of the Casa de Velázquez, centered on the Iberian Peninsula, the Maghreb and Latin America ( for the colonial and contemporary periods). For more information, see our  website .

The projects will have to adapt to the research fields of the potential scientific managers of the Casa de Velázquez:

– Archeology (Protohistory / Antiquity)
– History (Protohistory / Antiquity / Modern and contemporary eras)
– History of the American colonial worlds
– History of art (Modern and contemporary eras)
– History of the present time

As this is an international mobility grant and taking into account the requirements of the MSCA program, researchers who are not part of French or Spanish research centers will be given priority in this call.

The medjouel.com team informs you that to apply, interested researchers must send before June 15, 2020 (4 p.m. Madrid time), a scientific pre-proposal which will be subject to evaluation.

This pre-proposal will include:
– A scientific presentation of the project (maximum 5 pages or around 3000 words, in French, English or Spanish)
– An updated CV (maximum 5 pages, in French, English or Spanish)

The selected projects will benefit, from June 2020, from scientific and technical support from the Platform for assistance in setting up European projects of the Casa de Velázquez and the Madrid Institute for Advanced Study.

The Casa de Velázquez intends to welcome researchers under the conditions defined by its internal regulations.
