Postdoctoral research positions in the laboratory of the Higher School of Economics for University Development in Moscow, Russia

The laboratory of the Graduate School of Economics for University Development in Moscow, Russia, invites applications for postdoctoral research positions in the field of education. We welcome motivated researchers with university training in different disciplines and with a strong interest in research in higher education.

We mainly promote three long-term research projects under the supervision of leading international academics:

• CONTRIBUTION OF HIGHER EDUCATION TO INDIVIDUALS AND TO SOCIETY: GLOBAL ACCOUNTING
• EFFICIENCY, PERFORMANCE AND IMPACT OF HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS
• INEQUALITY IN HIGHER EDUCATION: HIGH PARTICIPATION, DIVERSITY AND STATE

requirements

• doctorate degree in sociology, economics, political science preferred · Solid experience in conceptual and empirical work (preferably in economics or sociology of education);
• Strong analytical skills and a high level of quantitative research skills are preferable;
• Ability to conduct research to meet the standards of high-ranking academic journals.

The work involves:

• working under the direct supervision of Professor Daria Platonova.
• participants are encouraged to continue their own research in parallel with the research projects of the University Development Laboratory:
• write research articles for international peer-reviewed journals in collaboration with members of the Laboratory for Universities Development
• participation in the organization of events and other contribution to the development of the Laboratory
• public presentations of the candidate’s research to researchers in the field and to the wider academic community
• certain lessons are encouraged, but not compulsory.

terms

Appointments are normally made for one year. Postdoctoral fellows have the opportunity to renew the contract (no more than twice).

HSE University offers postdoctoral fellows a competitive salary, the standard medical insurance plan; a workspace equipped with a computer and free Internet access at the University.
