The Alfred Fried Prize for Photography will be held under the new name Global Peace Photo Award, inspired by Nobel Peace Prize winners Alfred Alfred and Tobias Asser. The goal with the new name is to honor the life of Alfred Fried and his struggle for peace. It also highlights the fact that Tobias Asser jointly received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1911 with Alfred Fried for his efforts to establish the Hague Conference.
The Global Peace Photo Award recognizes and promotes photographers from around the world whose images capture human efforts towards a peaceful world and the quest for beauty and kindness in our lives.
