Caritas Research Prize: Poverty, inequality, social exclusion

Opening of the 11th edition of the Caritas Research Prize, aimed at combating poverty and social exclusion. The Prize is awarded by the Caritas France Research Foundation – Institut de France – with the support of the European think & do tank FOR SOLIDARITY – PLS. The application files must be returned no later than March 6, 2020.

The Caritas Research Prize, worth € 10,000, is aimed at young researchers. It rewards any particularly innovative research, thesis, dissertation or publication, allowing to advance the understanding of inequalities, their causes and consequences and to encourage action initiatives.

The work entering the competition comes primarily from the field of scientific research , but less academic initiatives from other horizons can also be envisaged, a fortiori if they reach a wider audience.

If there is more than one work deemed worthy, the jury for the prestigious Prize reserves the right to award two additional prizes, of € 5,000 and € 3,000 respectively .

The research work must be presented in the form of a publication written in French . Persons who have already been recognized and / or awarded a prize elsewhere will not be taken into account.

To submit an application, the complete file must be submitted no later than March 6, 2020 and must contain the following elements:

  • curriculum vitae ;
  • cover letter (maximum 600 words);
  • copy of the research work (PDF format);
  • summary of the work (one page maximum).
