The Faculty of Science invites applications for a three-year term position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Human/Cultural Geography in the Department of Geography and Environment.
The Department welcomes applications from candidates with teaching and research expertise in one or more of the following specialties: Indigenous geography and/or post-colonial geographies, cultural geography, geographies of food, migration and identity, or other areas that complement existing strengths in the department. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering a suite of undergraduate courses that may include introductory human geography, cultural geography, regional geography of Canada, rural and small town Canada, population and development, qualitative research methods, and/or a course in their area of expertise. Due to COVID-19, fall term courses may need to be delivered by a synchronous online format. The successful applicant may also have the opportunity to supervise Master’s students in Science (Environmental and Life Sciences) or Arts (Rural Development).
Qualifications: A PhD or ABD at time of application is preferred; a Master’s degree is required.
