Karlstad University Global Scholarship Program, Sweden

The Karlstad University Global Scholarship Program targets the best university students from countries outside the European Union / European Economic Area (and Switzerland) who must pay tuition fees for their studies.

The Karlstad University Global Scholarship offers scholarships covering part or all of the tuition fees. The scholarship application will be taken into consideration if the application fee is paid or if you are exempted from paying the application fee. This scholarship program is not open to students from the following 12 countries: Bangladesh, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia. Students from these countries instead have the opportunity to apply for scholarships from the Swedish Institute. The Karlstad University Global Scholarship application will be accepted from December 1, 2019 to February 1, 2020. You are applying on the University of Karlstad website.

WHAT ARE THE COSTS COVERED BY THE SCHOLARSHIP?

The scholarships cover 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% of the tuition fees. The value of the scholarship is indicated in the scholarship notification for each scholarship holder. The value of the scholarship is deducted from the tuition fees of the program for which you receive a scholarship. Please note that the Karlstad University Global Scholarships do not cover living expenses. To be able to finance your stay in Sweden and obtain a residence permit for studies, you must prove that you have funds for the total duration of studies the first time you apply for a residence permit. For more information, contact the Swedish Migration Office.
