The program Fellows-in-Residence is a program international tours promoted by CY Advanced Studies ( CY AS), the Institute of Advanced Studies of CY Cergy Paris University and CY Initiative. By hosting researchers (juniors and seniors) in residence, for a period ranging from 4 months to one year, this program aims to support international research collaborations and to strengthen the attractiveness of the institutions of the Initiative.
During the year academic 2021-2022, the program of scholarships CY AS will support eight fellows in residence who actually benefit from a dual affiliation:
- with CY Advanced Studies , where they participate in transversal scientific activities (fellows’ seminars and guest lectures, scientific events organized within the framework of CY AS) and have the possibility of organizing and coordinating events in collaboration with researchers from CY Initiative;
- with one of the CY Initiative research departments or centers .
All research areas are eligible. Fellows must develop a research program related to the research activities of the EJ initiative teams.
Three types of scholarships will be offered:
- Junior scholarships : for researchers who have obtained their doctorate within the last ten years , with or without a permanent position in a university or a research institute. The scholarships juniors are granted for one year and may be renewed for a year extra.
- Senior scholarships : for researchers who obtained their doctorate more than ten years ago, with a permanent position in a university or a research institute. The scholarship seniors are granted for a 4-10 month period. In the event of long-term collaboration, it is possible to divide the duration of the grant into two or three annual stays.
- National scholarships at junior or senior level: for researchers and professors holding a permanent position in French higher education or research establishments. During one semester, CY AS offers the possibility of hosting researchers during a CRCT or delegation period by reimbursing the teaching fees to their home institution. This system could also be open to researchers from partner universities outside France .
Researchers of all nationalities are eligible. With the exception of national scholarship holders, researchers who have stayed in France for more than 24 months in total during the three years preceding this call are not eligible.
The selection criteria will be based on the scientific quality and the originality of the research projects.
