As the mysterious Chinese coronavirus seems to be spreading more and more, a map allows you to follow the evolution of the epidemic in real time.
The map, available HERE , was developed by researchers from Johns-Hopkins University in the United States. It lists all confirmed cases worldwide, as well as suspected cases. It is updated in real time.
“We think it’s important that the public understand the situation as it stands,” said Lauren Gardner, who heads the map team, on American television.
FIRST CASES IN FRANCE
As we can see, the coronavirus is, for the moment, mainly concentrated in China, in particular in the region of Wuhan where it appeared.
Several other cases are also listed in neighboring countries. The United States and Australia are also affected, as is France, which has confirmed six proven cases.
The toll of the viral pneumonia epidemic rose to 170 dead on Thursday in China, after an unprecedented jump in the daily number of deaths. The number of infected patients has increased to around 7,700 in mainland China (excluding Hong Kong), now greatly exceeding the number (5,327) of people infected in 2002 and 2003 by the SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) epidemic. The coronavirus then killed 774 people worldwide, including 349 in mainland China.
