The person selected will join the UOC Faculty of Information and Communication Sciences’ teaching staff, specializing in advertising and brand communication.
Responsibilities:
UOC faculty promote and direct distance learning in their fields of expertise. Particular attention must be given to the preparation of programmes of study, course contents and teaching materials, as well as the supervision and coordination of students’ learning processes. Faculty members are also responsible for driving innovation, especially in terms of methods and techniques used in distance learning and research activities in their fields of expertise.
The successful candidate will be awarded an open-ended, full-time contract. Scheduled start date: September 2020.
The place of work will be the UOC’s Tibidabo centre, Av. Tibidabo 39-43.
Requirements:
- PhD in a closely related field.
- Prior experience of teaching advertising and brand communication at university level.
- Research output in the field, for instance publications and involvement in projects.
- Knowledge and experience in advertising creativity, brand communication and graphic design.
- Versatility to perform teaching in related fields.
- Knowledge and experience of teaching methodology, ie course design, planning and running of teaching activities, and design of teaching materials and assessment tools.
- Good interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
- A high level of initiative, and organization and teamwork skills.
- A continuous improvement approach.
- Oral and written communication skills in both Spanish and Catalan.
- English language skills of at least CEFR level B2.
